My bag of the summer?
It had to be the small reed & I took it everywhere!
It seems I had a few favourite dresses too 😂.
Tell me where you took your basket this summer in the comments below, I do love to hear where they've been.

And that's a wrap to the Lavender season!
I have loved every part this year, every day was different and gave so much joy.
• Hosting Lavender wreath making workshops was a treat each time. No two wreath's turned out the same.
• Group garden tours were lots of fun, busy & HOT!!!
• I have been more and more selective with shows and it has paid off. I have realised I am more suited to destination events, where we all have a lush day out.
Think stately homes and complimentary businesses.
• And then there is my keynote speaking... a part of the business that has crept up on me, but one that I thrive in. Give me an audience and let me loose of flying stories or lavender and I am in my element.
This week is cutting week, so here is your reminder to give your lavender that hard cut it needs.

If there is a plant happy in a heatwave, then it's Lavender.
Just remember...
• water pots deeply and wet the actually pot too.
• Don't be tempted to dead head as it makes the plant work hard when it just needs to be conserving energy.
• If you have plants/herbs in pots that are struggling, place a saucer of water underneath.
• Lavender in the ground only needs watering if we have had a drought for longer than two weeks.
• The exception is new lavender plants- these need to be watered for three weeks until they are well established.
• Leave feeding your hydrangeas until the heat has passed.
• Find a good spot in the shade for a well earned rest!
• Let your cat trample an area if it means they are cool and rested. The Lavender always perks up after!

A handwoven house!
I often get people saying they would only use their basket for the beach, so I thought I would take a few snaps around the house to show just how versatile baskets are.
I have now realised just how many handwoven bits we have and this is only half! (with a couple from the workshop too).
Each one tells a story of where we got it, how long we've had it, where it's travelled to and houses it's decorated. There are some that now have a different job - like the one that's not strong enough to carry any longer, so holds all the wrapping paper. I am sure you all have a basket of doom too 😂
In this house baskets are definitely not just for the beach, how about you?

Life behind the first class curtain.
Date for your diary - Wednesday 24th June 2026.
If you like good food, great surroundings and a first class afternoon of fun & laughter then hopefully I will see you beaming back at me on the 24th.
Luckily, I kept a journal of every trip I was part of. Whether a quick three day New York or an eleven day Australia, it’s all there! Drawing on these diary
entries I retell what really went on behind the first class curtain!
Story telling from over 70 countries of adventure, fun, learning to follow your gut and everything in between!
Book through details all on the poster.

✨ I’m So Excited to Be Speaking in Northampton Next Week ✨.
I’m absolutely delighted to be joining City Ladies Networking Northampton next Tuesday for what promises to be a truly special morning of connection, conversation, and community.
For those I haven’t met yet, my journey hasn’t been a straight line. After nearly 20 years travelling the world as cabin crew and representing global brands, I faced redundancy in 2020 — and with it, a moment that made me completely rethink who I was beyond the uniform.
What followed was a deeply personal journey of rediscovery — reconnecting with myself, reframing my strengths, and slowly rebuilding a life that felt authentic and aligned.
Today, I’m the founder of The Lavender House, where I grow and create all things lavender. I host garden tours, run creative workshops, attend pop-ups, and I’m currently writing my first book — alongside speaking about my journey and the lessons I’ve learned along the way.
Now, I’m so excited to share that story with you.

A very pretty day down on the farm.
It would have been my dad's 83rd birthday today. For many years the whole family-three generations would go lambing together to celebrate and create memories. The sheer awe we all felt with new life coming in to the world- for the meat eaters the best sausages and burgers they could eat and me? I would always sneak birthday cupcakes in and take lots of photos.
