I was lucky enough to see Threads Of Life by Chiharu Shiota, best-known for her large-scale installations which engulf ordinary objects – such as shoes, keys, beds, chairs and dresses – within huge web structures made from woollen thread. The keys? Twenty thousand rusty old, second-hand worn keys. What do they symbolise - 20,000 locations, places people wanted to keep secure and private – homes, rooms, cupboards, trunks and boxes, safe spaces, protected spaces, locations of experiences and memories and values.

If you haven’t tried Moonshine Saloon immersive experience, I would thoroughly recommend. Smuggle in your drink, play cards, drink cocktails and fully emerge in 1904. The sherif is in town!

Memories of Transit by Yin Xiuzhen

I was lucky enough to see ‘Memories in Transit’ at the Hayward Gallery, London.

Yins mother worked in a clothing factory and as a result Yin developed her relationship with textiles.
In ‘International Flight, and her ongoing ‘Portable City’ pieces of used garments are transformed into aircraft and miniatures of sprawling metropolis.
The airport baggage carousel, plane, signs, everything is made from fabrics. The detail is amazing and what I loved was the garment labels per country, Burtons and Zara in the London suitcase. Each suitcase had a genuine luggage tag with the beautifully created city in the case. One of my favourite exhibitions this year.

Beautiful Christian Dior Couture windows in Prague. The window balances indulgence and gifting: the cake becomes the visual anchor, and the bags cascade around it like a curated celebration. The softness of the cake’s texture contrasts with the structured lines of the bags, creating a moment of pause — a little world of treats and take‑home treasures. Everything feels gathered with purpose, as if the shopper has stepped into the middle of someone’s perfect celebration.
