β¨ **New Arrival | Arts & Crafts Oak Sideboard c.1900**
A superb piece of turn-of-the-century British design.
Dating from around **1900**, this substantial Arts & Crafts sideboard is constructed in beautifully figured oak and combines the honest craftsmanship of the Arts & Crafts movement with the flowing natural forms of emerging **Art Nouveau design**.
The extraordinary raised back immediately sets it apart. A distinctive shaped central mirror is surrounded by panelled oak decorated with stylised organic motifs, while turned columns and slender spindle galleries create an unusually architectural silhouette.
Below, the beautifully figured bowed drawer fronts retain their decorative brass ring handles, with a generous four-door cupboard providing substantial storage. The outer doors are particularly attractive, enriched with deeply carved flowing foliate decoration.
Look closely at the photographs and the quality of the oak really comes through - particularly the dramatic figuring across the drawer fronts.
A sideboard with real presence, craftsmanship and individuality, equally at home in a period property or as a statement piece within a contemporary interior.
