I use a hand-cranked Singer sewing machine, which was built in 1935 and has been in my family since new. With a certificate in dressmaking, I place an emphasis on great design, high quality and durability for all my gear.

I recently made this Black Watch tartan sit mat as custom order.

It's handmade in the UK using UK manufactured 8oz antique waxed cotton (navy blue) and genuine Black Watch Tartan Harris Tweed, using high quality Coats Moon polyester thread.

I liked it so much that I decided to produce a small batch, which is now available in my Etsy shop.

I recently made one of these sleeve beds as a custom order for a regular customer.

I was so impressed with the design, that I've put it into production!

The design was inspired by Horace Kephart, one of the pioneers of bushcraft, in his classic 1916 book "Camping and Woodcraft".

It can be used as a sleeve bed, sleeping bag or "browse bed", or even a tarp shelter.

The sleeve bed is 220cm long x 150cm wide (approx), and weighs a hefty 5.5kg (approx).

A returning customer who'd previously bought two of my waxed cotton tinder pouches requested something a little larger, to hold an A4 sized notepad and various Ordnance Survey maps.

I was happy to oblige with this custom order.

It features a roll top for additional protection from the elements, fastened with three solid brass press studs.

To increase the water resistance this pouch is lined with high quality 100% cotton fabric (sand) with water and oil repellent qualities.

The pouch is water resistant, and is easily re-proofed to preserve the look of the fabric and its waterproof qualities.

The latest custom order for my favourite customer!

Brown waxed cotton bag.

Key features -

* Brown waxed cotton
* 3 press stud fastenings (brass).
* substantial loops at 4 corners set at a 45 degree (approx) angles, made of waxed cotton
* sleeve for draw cord at the top (cord and toggle to be provided by the customer)
* 510mm wide
* 210mm high
* 100mm deep

Handmade in the UK using UK manufactured 8oz antique waxed cotton (chestnut brown) using high quality Sabre core spun polyester thread for added strength.

To increase the water resistance this bag is lined with high quality 100% cotton fabric (sand) with water and oil repellent qualities.

The bag is water resistant, and is easily re-proofed to preserve the look of the fabric and its waterproof qualities.

A recent custom order for a special customer.

It features dry waxed 100% cotton fabric (cerise) and genuine Welsh woven wool (new old stock fabric).

It features a thin padded layer for additional warmth and comfort.

Rather than my usual matching case, the customer opted for a rather striking elastic strap!

The first of a new line of stuff sacks.

It's based on my own tinder pouch design, but bigger!

It features a roll top for additional protection from the elements, fastened with three solid brass press studs.

The sack is water resistant, and is easily re-proofed to preserve the look of the fabric and its waterproof qualities.

This one measures 58cm x 38cm (approx), but please get in touch if you want a different size or colour making to order.
