We’re all looking forward to welcoming you back to Elsecar Heritage Centre's Iron Works (Building 21). It’s been a long time since we've had a craft fair on home turf due to the ongoing works.. But we hope to see some familiar faces and some new ones alike.

Come and pop in and see us, we're also doing encaustic art demonstrations, but unfortunatley we can't provide have a go sessions on this occasion.

Encaustic Art lends itself exceptionally well to card making with techniques that you can learn on the day at our Make and Take sessions. No prior knowledge or skills are needed. You will be amazed at how quickly you start creating your own unique scenery, backdrops, and much more that you can add to your card making creations.

Were you aware that our wax is made of bees wax?

That's right our Encaustic Art Wax blocks are made using Bees Wax If painting with coloured bees wax is something that you'd like to have a go at, we will be at Crafting Live held at Doncaster Racecourse on the 11th and 12th July from 10:00am until 4:00pm.

We will be operating our Make and Take sessions throughout the weekend where Brian Nelson - Encaustic Art Artist and teacher with over 20 years of experience can introduce you to the world of painting with bees wax and get you creating something that you will be proud of on the day and can take home with you!

Encaustic Art techniques lend themselves exceptionally well to card making where you can easily and quickly paint backgrounds, scenery floral patterns and much more for your card creations.
