Onkyo TXNR515, 5 star review What Hifi July 2012

Fine build and finish; extensive specification, with online functionality a highlight; expansive, brawny and insightful sound

Onkyo TX-NR515: The verdict
Ultimately, the TX-NR515 performs so very similarly to the outgoing TX-NR609 that they’re virtually indistinguishable.

On the face of it, that can only be a good thing: we though very highly indeed of the NR609 – it demonstrably wasn’t broken, so Onkyo hasn’t attempted to fix it.

What it does mean, though, is that all of Onkyo’s multichannel competitors (particularly the likes of Denon, Sony and Yamaha) are left still seeking to overhaul 2011’s premier product.

In performance terms, Onkyo hasn’t moved its game on with the TX-NR515, and conceivably that leaves the door open for the rivals that will no doubt be arriving later this year.

Excellent build, breathtaking sound quality, intuitive menus, fine upscaling and integrated Spotify sevice.

Jamo in40i, Another 5 out of 5 review in techdigest.tv

Verdict:

A stellar first effort from the Klipsch subsidiary, the Jamo In40i earphones are very nearly a match for the superb Image X10i set from Klipsch themselves, despite costing less than half the price. Comfortable and light, with a warm, balanced sound if you're patient enough to wait out an initially rough couple of hours, they'll please all but the most a**l of audiophiles.
