BANBURY๐ | NEIGHBOURHOOD UPDATE ๐ฎ
Over the past few weeks, you may have seen posts on social media regarding a group of youths causing repeated issues across Banbury.
We want to reassure our community that we are listening to your concerns and taking positive action. Yesterday, officers arrested and subsequently charged one of those involved with the following offences:
โข Vehicle Interference
โข Shoplifting
โข Criminal Damage
The youth has been charged and is due to appear before the court in October๐งโโ๏ธ
PC Silcock from the Neighbourhood Team, who led the investigation, said:
"Anti-social behaviour can have a significant impact on our communities. Whilst some of these offences may be considered low-level, the effect they have on victims and residents can be substantial. We will not tolerate this type of behaviour and will continue to identify offenders, make arrests, and bring people before the courts where the evidence supports it."๐ฎ
We would like to thank members of the public who have reported incidents and provided information. Your reports help us build evidence, identify those responsible, and take positive action. We will continue to work closely with our partner agencies to address these issues using all available powers and interventions. TVP will now pass this to the court, and hope for a successful outcomeโ๏ธ
If you witness anti-social behaviour or crime, please continue to report it to Thames Valley Police online or via 101. In an emergency, always call 999๐
