Did you know:
old postage stamps like the one pictured below are no longer valid.
3 years ago these stamps were replaced with stamps that have barcodes attached.
Royal Mail offers a replacement scheme so you can swap out your old stamps.
Unfortunately we are still seeing these stamps being used to post letters which means that the person receiving the letter has to pay a fee before they can receive it.
These are likely to be people who are not out very much or not on social media to see the campaigns in the lead up to big changes like these, so maybe you can help by checking if your friends, family, neighbours are aware that these old stamps are invalid and help them to swap them.
