Contrary to rumours that I have retired, I am still working. I left my shop as I was getting too busy, yes a strange reason to close it, but I thought with less passing trade I would have more time to work on fewer repairs and maybe have time to make some more instruments (not happened). Well it worked for a while, not that I was less busy as I had to try to sort everything out after the move - still in progress. However I now seem to be almost as busy again with repairs as when I was in the shop, I am not really complaining about this, it is nice to feel that all my repeat and recommended cutomers have the confidence that I can continue to provide a good service, or perhaps it's just that I am cheap compared to others. But thank you all for trusting someone who should have stopped working a long time ago, I really apreciate it.

Having moved out of my shop at Evegate almost a year ago, not sure where it's gone, I am going to shut down my 01303 number which has been forwarding to my mobile at the end of January {2025). Pleases call my mobile direct in future, it's on my website. Meanwhile, have a happy January, I'm not thinking too far into the future at present :-)

Hello everyone, still not getting very tidy in my new workshop, but I admit that it was not always tidy at the shop either. I WILL post a photo when I feel that it's not too bad, but I do have space to work and can find most of my tools now

You can tell from the lack of an update that it is taking a long time to get my home workshop set up and tidy so that I can find everything easily, mainly because I am still quite busy, but it will happen. Meanwhile I have changed my cover photo to show a sax I have just finished modifying by removing all the pinky plateau keys for someone with two fingers missing on his left hand, the changes here show B and Bb keys, the G #, together with G and A, and C # are on the other side.
