What a memorable day we have had Aintree International Equestrian Centre with SCS Lumiere KH coming home with not one but two regional titles and tickets to the Nationals in September.

A lovely clear round in the Inter 1 to take the win followed by an almost clear round in the PSG. There was one minor sack the jockey moment 🙈 for not looking up to ceiling in the 4's but apart from that a great test to take the win in a 10 strong class.

Stable 46 you must be a lucky one!

🇬🇧📣 ℝ𝕚𝕕𝕖𝕣𝕤 𝕊𝕡𝕠𝕥𝕝𝕚𝕘𝕙𝕥 📣🇬🇧

This summer two of our youth riders were selected to represent Great Britain at the Children on Horses and Young Rider European Dressage Championships in Olomouc, Czech Republic and Pilisjászfalu, Hungary.

Demi Howard-Cartwright, who has represented Great Britain on two previous occasions at European Championships, travelled to Pilisjászfalu with Newton Astro Nascente as part of the Young Rider European Team. Despite weather conditions that were not on their side, Demi showed her experience to help the team achieve a respectable 4th place.

Isabelle Stuart and Prince May The First represented Great Britain at their very first European Championships held in the Czech Republic. Isabelle at only 11 years old kept composed to produce a harmonious test to help her team return home with a bronze medal! 🥉

🇬🇧 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗽𝘂𝗿𝘆 𝗖𝗗𝗜 🇬🇧

What an enjoyable few days we have had at Hartpury CDI for SCS Lumiere KH’s first International.

Thursday was trot up day which he behaved impeccably for. If you know Lenny, his tail can sometimes act as an antenna which makes him a bit giddy 🙈😂 but he kept it together and trotted very sensibly. I need some more practice at running following my two hip replacements for trot ups!
Fridays test was the PSG and an early morning start. Unfortunately we didn’t quite manage a clear round with counting mistakes in the 4’s but overall he went well.
Saturdays turn was the Inter 1 and our aim was to qualify for the Freestyle on Sunday. We did just that by the skin of our teeth despite a Satnav malfunction 🤦🏼‍♀️ coming out of the shoulder in into the medium trot and counting mistakes in the 2’s.
Sunday was the Freestyle and it was great to ride to our music again. We finished the weekend with a clear round and just missed out on a top 10 placing.

It was great to catch up with friends from around the world 🌍 and watch some top combinations in the sun ☀️.

We have had a very enjoyable and memorable weekend and are grateful for the help and support from our team to help us reach this level and represent 🇬🇧. It takes a village to get down the centre line and to represent Great Britain having produced Lenny from a just backed 4 year old to an International Small Tour Horse, it is a credit to everyone who has been part of our journey, we really couldn’t have done it alone.

Thank you Lily Carson for all of your help this weekend, Paul Fielder for your help in our warm-ups, Priestwood Physiotherapy for Lenny’s pre-show physio session, Ben Ebrey for his 🪩 shoes, Oakham Veterinary Hospital Equine for keeping him on the road, Saracen Horse Feeds that fuel his engine, and Horse First that help him feel good for optimal performance, Equivisions dressage to music design for our upbeat music, Flying Changes Bespoke Jackets & Tailcoats for my lovely new Kask hat to match my jacket and saddle.

Congratulations to Tig Abel on your fantastic results in the 1* CDI and Leah Beckett on your win in the 5 year old young pony class.

Royal Cornwall Show – Saturday Closure

It is with great regret that following a thorough assessment of forecast weather conditions and their impact on the showground, the difficult decision has been taken to cancel the final day of the Royal Cornwall Show on Saturday.

The safety and wellbeing of our visitors, exhibitors, competitors, members, staff, volunteers and contractors has been central to this decision and remains our highest priority.

We recognise how disappointing this news will be for everyone involved, particularly those who had planned to attend, exhibit or compete, and we would like to thank all our stakeholders for their patience, understanding and support.

Further information for ticket holders, exhibitors, competitors, members and other stakeholders will be communicated as soon as possible through the Royal Cornwall Show’s official channels.

We are delighted to be once again hosting a cross country course walks at Badminton Horse Trials this year. Brand ambassadors and International 5* event rider Lici Hawker has kindly offered this fabulous opportunity to walk the course with her and gain an understanding of the course from a riders perspective.

The course walk is on 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟴𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗮𝘆 at 𝟮𝗽𝗺. Please meet on our stand 𝟮𝟯𝟲 𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝗪𝗮𝘆 15 minutes prior for a welcome drinks reception to depart on the course walk at the time stated above. If you would like to take part, please comment the number of people below ⬇️ to register your interest!

Badminton kindly asks for a £5 donation per person to be made for all course walk participants towards this years Charity of the Year, Ebony Horse Club. Donations can be made upon arrival to the stand prior to the course walks.
