Flytipping outside Sandal Beat Small Holdings lane ref:201003088209.
*update. Considered harmful waste
Currently overseen by animal welfare as restricted access to stables on Lane.

This has been reported and is currently with the Enforcement Team and Street Scene.

It is understandably frustrating and upsetting to see sights like this as it is certainly becoming a regular occurrence that needs to be tackled.

⚠️As this is been dealt with by the Enforcement Team, please can we ask that litter pickers do not attempt to clear this themselves for both safety reasons and that vital evidence of the perpetrator(s) could be lost.

Morning Motivation. If ever you needed motivational words to kick-start your eco-journey.....
The Littlest Litter Picker Logan is the youngest member of our awesome team of dedicated eco warriors. He recently won an award for Young Community Person for his tireless efforts to ensure our Village is clean and green.
At only 7 years old he enjoys giving talks to his fellow class mates, clubs he joins and even to adults alike about how important it is to care for the planet and never give up trying to do the right thing.
Here's the quick speech he gave at the recent Pride of Armthorpe Awards........

"Hello Armthorpe!
Thank you so much for this award. I'm really proud to recieve it.
I love helping the environment, either my litter picking, tending to the community planter or talking to other children and the grown ups at eco kids clubs I help my mum with, the great British Spring Clean and the Bitter About Litter Project.
It makes me happy to see our green spaces cleaner and brighter for wildlife and people.
Sometimes it has been difficult. There's been many times bad people have tried to undo my hard work. It's made me feel sad and almost like giving up.....but then I remember, I don't give up!
I hope the community planter and litterpicking shows that even when things go wrong, it's important to keep trying.
If you care about something, don't give up.
Small actions can make a big difference.
Thank you to everyone who nominated me.
Let's work together to make our world cleaner and greener!"

Well, i don't know about you but I feel like rolling up my sleeves and helping out with his mission to fight the litter after this!

Early morning kick-start on Pit Top.
It's a fantastic walk to the top there where you can see all around and enjoy the view of our great Village and admire the green spaces around.
No, there are no bins at the summit but there is one at the end of your walk at the entrance gate to the car park. Remember, if you take your drink up there, you bring the bottle back down with you.

Litter-Picking-Pooch!
Good ol' Max here is now an honourary Bitter About Litter Project litterpicker! When the furry litter fighter is out on his walks with his owner you will often see him with a plastic bottle he has sniffed out and picked up. Max will carry the bottle until he reaches a bin on his way home, showing those Lazy Litterers how it's meant to be done!
Way to go Max and welcome to the team! Woof!

Hip Hip Hurray to our very own Littlest Litter Picker, Logan on recieving the Young Community Person Award!
Last night saw Logan on stage receiving his second Pride of Armthorpe Award, the first been when he started out his eco-warriors journey as the young age of 4. Since then he has been non-stop with his efforts to make Armthorpe cleaner and greener by litter picking, tending to his adopted community planter and talking to everyone he meets along the way about how important it is to care for the planet. He's met some obstacles along the way but its never deterred him, only made him ever the more determined.
We were treated to a motivational speech by the young little public speaker that I'm sure inspired everyone to believe in themselves and the efforts will pay off.

Thank you Logan for all that you worked on over the years, your efforts have not gone unnoticed! Keep up the amazing work you do.
