Our hearts are bursting with pride tonight. 💛🏃♀️🩷
Today, Rhiannon, daughter of Andrew and Helen, owners of North Devon Soap, completed the Pretty Muddy 5K in support of her sister, Charlotte.
Last June, Charlotte was diagnosed with the rare salivary gland cancer Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma. As a family, it has been a journey none of us expected to face. Throughout it all, Charlotte has shown extraordinary courage, strength and positivity, inspiring everyone around her.
Determined to do something to help raise awareness and support vital research, Rhiannon signed herself up for Pretty Muddy. A brave decision made even more impressive by the fact that she will quite happily tell anyone who asks that she absolutely does not run! 😂
Yet today she climbed, crawled, splashed and squelched her way across that finish line. And judging by the photos below, she embraced every muddy second of it!
As parents, Andrew and Helen couldn’t be prouder of both of their daughters – Charlotte, for facing each day with resilience and grace, and Rhiannon, for stepping so far outside her comfort zone to stand beside her sister and shine a light on this rare disease.
There is still time to support this incredible cause. Every donation to Salivary Gland Cancer UK helps fund much-needed research and provides support to those affected by this little-known cancer.
Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared the fundraising page, sent messages of support, or simply cheered Rhiannon on from the sidelines. Your kindness means more than words can express.

And finally… Rhiannon, we’re not sure whether you need a medal, a hot bath or industrial-strength detergent more right now – but what we do know is that you were absolutely amazing. ❤️
