The reunion we've all been waiting for — a romantic tragedy turned happy ending.

Following a temporary separation caused by unavoidable biological complications, Charlie and Sibbs were finally reunited today.

The chemistry remains undeniable!

Charlie has spent most of the day grinning like he's won the lottery, while Sibbs has been doing her best impression of someone trying to climb through a gate to get closer to her beloved.

Meanwhile, Bruce and I have been busy keeping the wheels turning at the shop while these two lounge around on cool mats, drinking ice-cold water, enjoying the fans and exchanging longing glances across the room.

We're delighted for them, of course.

We're still very much the new kids on the block in the guitar retail world.

We're still learning, still figuring it all out, and determined to give the best service we can. Whether that's providing quality instruments, building a great collection of guitars, carrying out setups and repairs to a high standard, keeping our website, marketing and social media running in-house (which is no small task in today's world of online marketing), or simply looking after our customers — it's all a balancing act.

The truth is, we came into this with no prior experience in the guitar retail industry. We're learning as we go, trying to keep all the plates spinning, enjoy the sunshine when we can, and trying to avoid burning ourselves out along the way.

It's not always easy, and there are times when it feels overwhelming. But that is always outweighed by how grateful we are that we get to do this for a living, and that so many of you continue to support what we're building here at The Woodshed.

Today, we managed to steal an hour so we treated ourselves with a decent lunch outside in the sunshine. We often get asked if there are any decent places to eat near the shop, and our answer is almost always the same: Pumkin's Deli in Brinklow, about five minutes down the road.

They serve some of the best chicken gyros you'll get your hands on, and they're another independent business run by genuinely lovely people who care deeply about what they do. If you're making a trip out to see us, they're well worth adding to the itinerary.

There's lots of stock heading to the website, loads of setups and repairs being carried out in the new workshop, and plenty more exciting things in the pipeline.

It's also worth mentioning that not everything we have is online yet. We've got a great range of acoustic guitars in stock, along with Blackstar amps and plenty of other gear, so if you're in the market for something, it's always worth popping in to see what's on the racks.

And as always, if you have any questions about a guitar, repair, setup, trade-in, or anything else, just get in touch — we're always happy to help.

Caught at closing time getting all the praise she deserved after a hard day's work. Meanwhile, Bruce is in the background noodling away on the 60th Anniversary Strat. Nice busy weekend — you can't complain really, can you?

Welcome to The Woodshed Demo Lounge 🎸☕

A dedicated space just a stone's throw from the shop where you can spend some proper time with a guitar or two away from the hustle and bustle of the showroom.

We know not everyone loves playing in front of a room full of strangers, so whether you're comparing a few guitars, narrowing down a shortlist, or simply want a quieter environment with fewer distractions, the Demo Lounge is here for exactly that.

Exposed brickwork, oak beams, plenty of character, the same Woodshed atmosphere and the same coffee machine that's always on.

The room is available to use whenever it's free, but it can also be booked ahead if you'd like to guarantee some uninterrupted guitar time.

Oh, and if you were wondering... the American Fender Roadhouse Strat and Martin dreadnought featured here are both currently available and haven't made it onto the website yet. 👀

You've all seen our new space... now here's one way we're using it. 🎸☕

Introducing The Woodshed Demo Lounge.

Just a stone's throw from the shop, we've created a lovely space where customers can spend some proper time with a guitar or two away from the bustle of the showroom. Exposed brickwork, oak beams, plenty of character, and very much in keeping with The Woodshed feel — just with a little more privacy and a few less distractions.

We know not everyone enjoys trying guitars out in front of a room full of people, so the Demo Lounge gives you the chance to relax, take your time, and get to know an instrument in a quieter environment.

If the room is free when you visit, you're welcome to use it. It can also be booked in advance, so if you'd like to guarantee some uninterrupted time with a particular guitar, just give us a call or drop us a message before you visit, and we'll get you booked in.

Same great service, same coffee machine always on, just an additional space to enjoy some guitars.

A little announcement we've been looking forward to making... 🎸

The Woodshed is now an official Maybach Guitars dealer.

Our first batch has just arrived, and what a way to start — two absolutely blinding Lesters that have already settled in.

We've spent the last couple of days getting to know them and, safe to say, we're impressed. They feel familiar the moment you pick them up. Great craftsmanship, loads of character and some seriously inspiring tones.

If you've never played a Maybach before, we'd highly recommend coming down and spending some time with one.

We're like kids at Christmas over here... 🎸📦

A fresh delivery of Maybach Guitars has just landed at The Woodshed, and we couldn't wait to get them out of the cases!

We've played a lot of guitars over the last couple of years, but these genuinely impressed us. Incredible craftsmanship, vintage-inspired feel and some seriously inspiring tones.

We're proud to be an official Maybach dealer, and these are the very first arrivals through our doors.

Special mention goes to Sibs, who was convinced she was helping with the unboxing process... although from where we were standing, it looked suspiciously like she was just stealing the packaging. 🐶📦

😮 Good things come in waves, and that certainly can be said for the stock we've had arrive this weekend...

We've been almost as busy as our coffee machine!

More hangers have gone up, more guitars have arrived, and somehow we've managed to squeeze even more into the shop without making it feel any smaller, in fact it actually feels bigger.

If you've not visited for a little while, you might be surprised how much has changed. If you were here last week, there's a fair chance it's changed since then too!

We're open tomorrow from 10am–3pm. The coffee is on, the guitars are ready to be played, and everyone is welcome.
