Our Free School Uniform, Bags & School Supplies Giveaway continues throughout August!

The new school year is quickly approaching, and we know that getting children ready for September can be a real financial burden for families.

That’s why, throughout August, five of our Lighthouse Charity Shops are giving away free school uniform, bags and school supplies to help ease some of that pressure.

If you live near one of our participating stores, pop in and speak to our friendly team, who will be happy to help you.
Participating shops:
• Whaley Bridge
• Jacksdale
• Bulwell
• South Normanton
• Alvaston

Each child can receive up to 3 uniform items, plus a bag and school supplies, while stocks last.

The giveaway runs until 31 August 2026, but with limited stock available, don’t leave it too late!

🚨Trip: Snowcamp! 🚨
We have an amazing opportunity for any young person, aged 13-20 years of age, with Snowcamp!
This amazing organisation provide young people with the opportunity to access Snowcamp sports, and we are thrilled to be working with them to offer this trip.
£50 provides two days of learning to Ski or Snowboard, includes the cost of transport, lunch and equipment.

The Polygon Centre is more than a building.

It’s a place of welcome, belonging and possibility. A place where young people can be safe, have fun, build friendships and discover who they are becoming.

In this video, our Director of Ethos and Values, Jonathan Brook, reflects on what The Polygon means to the young people and wider community, and why it is so important that we preserve this much-loved space.

But preserving The Polygon is something we can do together.

We’re raising £40,000 for a new roof, and we’re asking our community to come together and help us reach that target. As Jonathan says, everyone has a part to play and every contribution matters.
