Tumble dryers are a common fire hazard if left running unattended, but it’s not just them—dishwashers and washing machines can also pose risks.

Never leave these appliances running while you're out or asleep. Faulty or overheating appliances can spark fires, and we don’t want that happening when you’re not around.

Stay safe: always make sure to turn off your appliances when you're not home or awake. It could save lives!

This is what could happen if you use your tumble dryer overnight whilst you are sleeping. This is also true for dishwashers and washing machines.

It is actually a myth that electricity is cheaper overnight unless you are on a tariff that specifies this. The standard tariff that most people are on is dictated by the energy price cap and uses the same cost per kwh 24 hours a day.

Never use your appliances when you are asleep or not at home. It could save your life.
