Marion Durkin.....Gone but never forgotten.....so sad to say goodbye. R.I.P.

Sense Accrington is mourning one of its most loyal and loved volunteers.
It is with great sadness we say goodbye to Marion Durkin who has lost her fight with cancer. She was 67.
Marion was a mainstay of our volunteer team. During the 8 years of dedicated service she was always there. Rain or shine she came....often 5 or 6 days a week if we were shortstaffed....and always at a minutes notice. She fronted the shop from behind her beloved till and would always go the extra mile to make sure targets were achieved. She could sell furniture like snow to eskimos.
So thank you Marion for your time your dedication and most of all for just being you...it was all so very much appreciated. RIP...you will never be forgotten.

Today was the last day for buying one of our fantastic Star Wars lottery tickets to win that amazing prize of the priceless autograph book and bronze cast Milennium Falcon. Our Fantastic Star Wars Lottery has started. And what a fabulous prize to be won! All you Star War fans out there need only call in at Sense Accrington to be able to win the coveted autograph book containing all the original signatures by the film's stars and crew members. Wow....for a donation of just £5 you will automatically be entered into the draw which takes place on 4th May. Our shops have pledged to raise £50K for Sense ......but we need your help!!! Hello to all our loyal followers on Facebook. We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and are looking forward to the New Year.
We also hope your present wish list arrived and that you loved everything that was given.
However, just in case you received a few things that didn't float your boat, please consider donating them to Sense so we can continue our constant challenge to raise as much money as we can through sales in our shop.
