Mr Rob Beckley’s photographs that he posted to Google Reviews after visiting us for a photography workshop last week!

He’s really captured the grace and elegance of our birds in flight (and strut)!

Happy World Crocodile Day 🐊

Meet Sobek and Serket, our West African crocodiles

Fun fact📚
West African crocodiles were thought to be Nile crocodiles until DNA testing in 2011 revealed they were actually their own species all along

There’s always something new to discover, even about animals we’ve known for centuries

Yesterday was World Otter Day, but Chico and Tina informed us that every day should be about them anyway, so we’re only slightly behind schedule.

Asian short-clawed otters are the smallest otter species in the world, but sadly their wild populations are decreasing due to habitat loss, pollution, and the illegal pet trade.

These clever, social little animals play an important role in wetland ecosystems, and protecting their habitats helps countless other species too.

How can we help?
•Never support the exotic pet trade
•Reduce plastic and water pollution
•Support conservation organisations protecting wetlands and wildlife
•Learn about the species we share the planet with and spread awareness

Serving frozen strawberries like it’s a five star raccoon resort, and Bandit is taking quality control very seriously today🍓🦝
Meanwhile, Rocket has declined all media appearances.

Raccoons don’t actually “wash” food to clean it like many people think — wetting objects helps make the nerve endings in their paws even more sensitive, allowing them to investigate what they’re holding, especially when something is cold or unfamiliar.

Meet the tiniest troublemakers of half term… the baby skunks are out and exploring! 🦨✨

The little ones have started venturing out more with mum, exploring their surroundings.

They’re still very young though, so sightings aren’t guaranteed, but if you do spot them, prepare for cuteness overload
