The Book Garden is so excited to be a part of the first Aber Indie Bookshop Fest!🌿
To celebrate Aberystwyth becoming a UNESCO City of Literature, Aber's lovely indie bookshops are putting on a free bilingual one day festival in the bandstand on the 25th July from 9.30-4.30pm!
💫Everyone is welcome!💫
We're delighted to announce that author and naturalist Carwyn Graves will be joining us for The Book Garden, speaking at 2.45pm in the bandstand as part of the event, hosted by Mererid Hopwood.
Author of 'Cynefin, Wisdom from a Thousand Years of Welsh Nature Poetry', and Book Garden favourite, 'Tir: The Story of the Welsh Landscape,' he is a leading voice and expert on Welsh landscape and food heritage. He is also a regular panelist on BBC Radio Cymru’s ‘Galwad Cynnar’ programme, and radio programmes including Radio Cymru, Radio Wales, Radio 4’s ‘The Food Programme’ and Radio New Zealand.
Through his most recent book Cynefin, Carwyn Graves explores how the Welsh poetic tradition offers a different view of nature and demonstrates its power to help us address the challenges we face.
Carwyn's work explores the rich connections between nature, landscape, and the wisdom they contain. He'll be discussing what poets have always known, that we are part of nature, not aside from it.
