We are open until 4pm

It is with great sadness that we have to announce the closure of Rickety Ramshackle.

We will be closing around the end of the month and are having a sale until then.

We want to thank each and every one of you who have supported us throughout the last 9+ years.

After we first opened, we were overwhelmed by the amount, and indeed the strength, of the positive comments we received. Such expressions of joy and appreciation for what we created continued throughout those nine years, and continue still on a daily basis, making our time in rickety ramshackle feel so special.

To see the delight on the faces of locals and visitors alike... To know that, on Christmas morning, so many people woke to gifts that came from our little shop... To have helped the collectors amongst you add to your (often, quite incredible) collections... To have provided special things for your special people... To be a small part of creating many a child’s happy memories and to help take so many adults back to their childhood... And sometimes, simply, to give people a moment of escape and joy in an otherwise difficult world.

It has been an absolute pleasure.

And a special shout out to our eldest grandson, Jake . Many of you will remember that we were privileged to have him working in the shop on many wonderful weekends. A boy when we opened, a man as we close, having him alongside us made it extra special.
