This June, we're heading just outside Barcelona to spend some time with the team at !

Over the coming weeks, we'll be sharing a behind-the-scenes look at the winery, the vineyards, the people and, of course, the wines from a recent team trip.

First up, a glimpse into the trip itself. Not a bad office for the day.🇪🇸

WOW, that is a lot of wine. Did you know that Castilla Y Leon plays host to more Denominación de Origen (wine regions) than any other region in Spain. 🇪🇸

It hosts a whopping 9 areas with the most recognised being Ribera Del Duero and Rueda but it also plays host to Bierzo, Leon and Toro. You can find over 60 wines from these amazing D.O's in out Shop and on our website. So many wines that we had to draft Jack in to help out with this one!

From the 5th of June to 14th we are celebrating and showcasing all things Castilla Y Leon. ✨

Castilla Y Leon is world famous for its cured meats as well as other meat products like Morcilla de Burgos (blood sausage), Cecina De Leon (smoked cured beef) and Cochinillo (suckling pig)🔥

Here, we are huge fans of all things so what better time to remind you all about their incredible range of Jamon, chorzio and all the other tasty charcuterie you can think of.

After Adam's trip to last month we focusing on this producer who we have been working with for a long time. 🇪🇸

Adam has picked out Ardea as the wine of the month, a rose cava that he truly believes is at the top list when it comes to rose bubbles.
It's got beautiful delicate bubbles that bounce around your tongue with lovely soft acidity that balances out the red fruits that come from the inclusion of Pinot Noir.
This cava hosts a long finish with the pastry notes that you expect from traditional method Cava.

This is one for the bbq's, any celebration and if you are anything like Adam then perfect with lunch because it is 5pm somewhere! 👀 🍷

Some are just… there.
And some?

You slow down. You savour it. You pair it with good food, good people, and actually enjoy the whole thing 🍷
That’s what great wine (and great produce) is meant to be.

Tuna empanada! A proper Spanish Picnic and Festival Classic made the traditional way

The art to Spanish cooking is simple ingrediants, used properly. You can find our recipe for this one on our new website recipe section - head on over.

When we say simple ingrediants, we mean the best and we think we have that part sorted. Tinned Tuna from , 555 Extra Virgin Olive Oil from , Smoked Paprika from , Tomato frito from so all you need to do is pick up the bits from the shop to give this ago yourself.

Adam recently did a 48 hour stint in Madrid (even when it comes to weekend breaks we cant stay away from Spain👀 ). While in Madrid he got to swing by our friends to try some of there amazing produce. 🇪🇸

Heres the kicker, you dont have to go all the way to Madrid to try this sensational produce as we stock a huge amount of their meat, from chorizo iberico to cured morcilla.

La Prudencia is a family run producer that was founded over a decade ago. They oversee every step of the process from breeding and rearing the pigs to the slow natural curing in the high altitudes of Segovia! ⛰️

Want some advice of where to go in Madrid? Here's Adams...

Madrid is melting pot of Tapas, tradition and of course amazing beverages! Adam has highlighted a couple of bits from his latest visit to Spain. 🇪🇸

From backstreet tapa to churros, Madrid really is a jem.
➡️ Adam said whatever you do, do not over look a Bocadillo de calamares (calamari baguette) which is a Madrid staple (helps with a sore head in the morning aswell).
➡️ Make sure you try every Ghildas in every bar, they are a mainstay everywhere and every bar has a little twist on them (check out for one of Adam's faves).
➡️ Drink plenty of Vermut and dip in to all of the wine bars ( is completely worth the trip)

Most importantly, explore, take in the tradition, let us know your faves for when we next visit.

Dont worry we are bugging Adam to start a travel blog on the website, all for research of course!
