Well what a month team JSW have had.
Firstly we all travelled down to Shelsley Walsh with both Minis to compete in the Best of British Hillclimb ๐ other than Saturday practice being a bit of a washout with rain we all persevered and Mat and Adam put in some good times up against some much faster cars in the inter club round on Saturday. Sunday started damp from the rain overnight but dried as the day went on. Despite it being our first visit to Shelsley we posted respectable times and finished 2nd and 3rd in Class ๐. Overall we had a fantastic time at our first Shelsley and canโt wait to go back and have another go. We even got to meet Richard Hammond.
Next up we were at Doune for the 1st two rounds of the British Hillclimb TinTop challenge. Saturday practice was hot and dry with no car problems, but Sunday was a different story with rain, rain and more rain. Despite the pi***ng rain we both qualified for the first top 10 run off and I finished 6th and Stu finished 10th. We then both qualified for the second run off, but in true Doune style the rain stopped the sun came out, the hill dried (sort of) and the slicks went on ๐. I was leading up until Stu jumped in the car and took the lead ๐ we were sitting 1st and 2nd with 3 cars to go ๐ฎ but they were the big boys with the big toys so we finished 4th & 5th
To say we are chuffed to bits would be an understatement
Huge thanks to all of the organisers and Marshalls at both events who stand in the rain all day ๐๐
