My name is Sophie Aziz and im a researcher on Kirsties Handmade Christmas on Channel 4.


The team at Raise the Roof Productions are searching for talented makers from a wide variety of crafts across the UK to compete in the programme’s festive competitions.



I would really appreciate your help with our search for creative crafters to take part. It would be fantastic if you could spread the word with anyone who you think has the skills to be a contender in the following competitions:

We are looking for a professional sewing expert to work behind the scenes on the Great British Sewing Bee
The ideal candidate will have extensive sewing skills experience, in particular, pattern development skills and a full understanding of garment construction. Your background could be in professional Fashion or Costume and previous experience in TV production would be helpful, but is not essential.

We will expect candidates to be familiar with Sewing Bee and able to demonstrate their ideas and experience, in terms of adding value to the series. You will work closely with the Senior Sewing Producer and, as well as being highly organised, you will be:
• helping to run the team
• planning and preparing briefs for contestants
• supporting the editorial team

You will need to be available from the beginning of July until the end of October. Filming will take place on location.
