What if we gave Valentine's Day real depth ?
The opportunity to think of the infinite treasure we are given to live every day ?

Do you remember the 4 pillars of the sacrament of mariage ?
Freedom, indissolubility, faithfulness and hope of fruitfulness.
While rereading them, when creating this jewel, I was filled with joy. These four pillars exist in all kinds of love : mariage, friendship, family...
These four treasures make everyday life whole.

Yes, I am truly free in the love that I have chosen, yes, this love has eternity for horizon, yes, faithfulness is a way of being faith filled, yes, the joy (and exhaustion!) of my children is the most beautiful fruit of our love, along with all the other fruits that a couple bears.

I created this discreet jewel, this fiery red heart surrounded by four zircons to remind me all the time of the infinite treasure we are given to live.

And if we are not married ? Love comes in all shapes.
It is eternal and I really believe it outlives death.
It is absolute, it cannot be taken away from us because it isn't material;
It is incorruptible, doesn't get old, it is ageless.
It is infinite, the only limitless ressource we possess.
And that is the whole beauty of our humanity.

I wish you to love, to look at your mariage in all its beauty, to give love in all fullness, because love is the only thing that will never die !

✨Bruises, Wishes and Immensity✨
What if we had a change of tone ? In this big viral life of ours, who encourages us ? Who congratulates us ? As good wishes : the sky this morning, absolutely beautiful, and I wanted to remind you how brave, tough, hardworking we all are, even though all of it sometimes bruises our soul. We carry on, still standing, hope strapped across our shoulder and always trusting the infinitely great.

I wish for you to look up to the sky, so beautiful, unlimited or to close your eyes and look into your internal sky where you are a treasure in the eyes of God.
I wish you a year of true freedom of the soul, a freedom that feeds itself of the beauty of the world and infinite love that no-one can hinder.
I wish you for this year to keep your eyes on this Immensity that never disappoints and always amazes.

3/3 BUSINESSWOMAN 👏

How this word would have seemed odd in my portrait 3 years ago.

Covid decided otherwise !
It threatened my ability to create.
It threatened my ability to feed my family with my work by shutting down all my large scale projects for over a year.
When the first lockdown was lifted, I promised myself to find a way that would enable me to make a living out of my passion whatever the circumstances. I transferred all my knowledge as a sculptor into the smaller scale of jewelry. I created my first website. And you were there, straight away ! I had to create a company and everything started so quickly. It’s unbelievable.

I went through unexpected changes :
I am very shy and introverted > I became a businesswoman, managing a wonderful team.
I sculpted on a very large scale > I now sculpt in miniature for jewels.
I was a real frenchy > my designs go around the world especially to the USA.
I was a very manual artist > I created websites, complex systems, and even had to do some coding.

What I’ve learnt from all this is quite simple :
Never again will I say “I don’t know how to do it”, and stay stuck because of that assumption.
Now I say “I’m going to try”. That is how you learn and grow. By doing, not hesitating.

Now, I am an artist and a businesswoman.
It’s unbelievable..
And I absolutely love every aspect of my work.
I have this incredible feeling of doing what I love.
It doesn’t fall out of the sky, like these petals. It’s the result of a lot of hard work. But also of a belief : providence is kind and with it and a passionate heart, everything is possible.

If you have a dream or a crucial need ,like me to create, believe it it and go for it ! The willpower of women is one of the great strengths of the world.

Party dress 🎉
This picture was taken on Christmas Eve (Yes, I know, it's the wrong Eve but it's a metaphor, so it doesn't really matter). A snapshot, not real life of course. This evening gown is me snubbing the exhaustion of the end of the year.

Before this picture, there was a nice an early midnight Christmas mass, that should have prevented any cries due to disrupted sleep cycles...
I was amateur enough to go dressed in white. My 2 year old left me with traces of her ski boots (that went perfectly well with her pretty dress😑). I ran after her during the whole mass, in a 100 meter hurdles fashion, beat my own "record of minimum prayer time" during mass, which that day was very close to zero.

After this picture, is a Christmas party, where I wore this absolutely impractical dress and sacrificed it to greasy fingers and runny noses.

But children have a selective memory. My daughters will only remember the blue of the dress, and the magic of this evening.

This is all I wish for you in 2023, to wear our party clothes and only remember the bue and gold of happiness 🌟💙

2/3 MOTHER 👩‍🦳👧👶
Second part of my description for the newcomers on this account.
I have three daughters of 8, 6 and 2 years old.
I stopped breathing when my eldest was born.
I caught my breath when my second daughter was born.
I got the hang of it when my third daughter was born.

We are not well prepared, I find.
Childbirth, (what a hardship sometimes)
Post-partum life, (an awful moment that doesnt say its name)
Nursing them, (I loved it but also saw a lot of suffering)
Starting to work again, (a choc)
To what is important and to what isn't, (ah if we had known that for the first child!)
Setting boundaries for the children, for ourselves (everything is said).
Learning on the way.
Thank God for sorority,
and social networks can be useful to share our doubts and our questions.

I’ll tell my daughters that having children is a challenge that is as demanding as it is extraordinary.
They ‘ve changed my life forever.
They are the air that I breathe,
and with their father they are my everything.

I want to raise them in a sparkling and yet never vulgar femininity.
Being a woman is an honor and a privilege. It’s a luxury that mustn't be wasted.

In the 21rst century being a woman is quite a stretch: you have to be a woman, a wife, a mother and a businesswoman.
I’d tell them that they have to know what they really want.
And that whatever they build, they built it with harmony.
On this path, their real strength will be to know how to dig deep in their hearts when the voice is always true and clear. It is the only true path.

1/3 AN ARTIST✨
Quite a few of you are new on my account, thank you so much ! I'll introduce myself in 3 posts.
Firstly an artist
I’ve been sculpting since I was 15. I am now… 42 (well actually 27 and it’ll stay that way forever of course ! )
My first and everlasting love is for clay.
Soon after I fell in love with bronze.
And for the past 15 years glass, gold and I have become an inseparable trio.

I love large, extra large scale projects. The dizzier I feel faced with a huge, impossible project is the only way to improve.

I have created sculptures, stained glass windows, church furniture and redesigned quite a few churches that you can see on my large scale artwork website :

I love these changes that I see and carry within me during months, sometimes years and that one day will blossom into the visible world.

I am and shall always be a sculptor, It is my true identity.
Whether I sculpt a material, a space, jewels or light.

This photo is the beautiful Collegiale of Eu for which I have the chance of designing the glass altar and ambo. Full blossom planned for 2023.

It’s very simple, for me creating is living!

In the night, a star shines
on the shepherds and the three wise men.
But it is a child that truly lights it up.

God trusted himself to humanity,
in the helplessness of a child,
to reveal the infinity of love.

The cold of December, Christmas is coming.
I feel like a santon in this end of year,
a figure of a nativity scene laying down in front of the manger
everything he has done and everything he hasn't done,
all that is good and all that could be improved.

The child in the crib will not refuse a gift,
Wether it's gold or a simple piece of bread,
a happy heart or an empty but true hand.

This is the truth that I love in my father's santons,
each one has it's role.
Each soul is expected in the light of the Nativity scene and loved for who it is.

This simple little girl before whom the virgin appeared several times to talk to her about realities that were beyond her grasp, but that she understood in the simplicity of a trusting heart …
We don’t always admit to liking Lourdes, with its plastic or sparkling virgins. But once you are in front of the grotto, wether you are small and humble or strong and powerful, we all kneel before the mystery of the humility of Lourdes. When Bernadette found the spring it was full of mud and stones. A bit like our hearts. It was hard work to make it crystal clear. A work that is carried out day after day. A work of clarity and TRUST ! Lourdes is an experience of surrender.

I wanted to devote my second artist’s rosary to Lourdes. The beads are made of mother of pearl and angel stone, the colors of the Virgin's dress. At the heart of the rosary, there is a medal of Mary and two yellow flowers like those at the virgin’s feet when she appeared. The cross is made with silver leaves, shimmering like the crystal clear spring water. In its center a forget-me-not, symbol of eternal love. With the rosary you will have a vial, that we filled individually, of Lourdes water. This water is a grace and cannot be sold, it was gifted to us and in turn I’m giving it to you.

"Because it is her"
I'd stopped doing contests.
I have enough work to keep me more than busy, I don't really enjoy competing against others.
But it is her...
When the fire started, the whole world was on its knees. When the darkened doors opened, a golden cross was still standing.
There will be a tomorrow.

I've been creating church furnitures for the past 20 years. There is meaning to my work. So when asked who wants to work for Her, I didn't have a choice, I had to do it. And I want to do it, whatever the outcome.
Just doing my work as as sculptor, just dreaming of light.
It is not just a file for a contest, it is a love letter.
A letter to the cathedral.
A letter to my work as a sculptor.
A letter to God.
On the 22nd of December we shall see if my letter goes through the first round. Or if it remains just a star in my interior sky. One thing that is certain, is that, whatever the outcome, you never regret creating a star.
