Short presentation of my finished crankbait model, The Cranky. With its diving range from 0.5 to 1.5m and its swimming action, smooth rolling and medium wobble, this is the perfect fishing lure for pike and bass, but the option to catch pike perch and big perch is still wide open. I make most of my lures out of wood (alder for this one) in small batches, and you can find most of them on my website. Thank you for reading me, Kevin.

Here is how I airbrush my perch pattern on my handmade crankbait. Only the epoxy clear coat to go and it'll be ready to catch some fish. Pikes, musky and Bass on the menu!

After the lures are shaped, it is time to seal the wood. For those cranbaits I use Alder wood and I give it 3 to 4 coats of epoxy to seal and get a smooth surface before the paint. Long but necessary process for handmade fishing lures quality finish. Now I need to think about what patterns I'll paint them 👀👀

Swim action of my wooden handmade crankbait... The cranky! With a balanced wobble and roll, this slow floating lure can be nicely paused, which helps for the cold water conditions.. Probably the most important step in lure making, the last epoxy coat. Took me a while to find the right way to do it for me, but I am now quite happy 😊😊. Those wooden crankbaits are going online today 🔥🚀

Glass eyes might cost a bit more, take more time to paint... But I think they are well worth it. Makes the lures look even better.

Handmade crankbait designed for pike and largemouth bass fishing. Beechwood, a bit of paint, some epoxy on top and here we go, ready for two single hooks.
