Viola 🎻
This viola was entirely handcrafted in my workshop and completed in December. It is the result of several months of careful work, where each stage, from the selection of the wood to the varnishing, was carried out with close attention to balance, sound, and playability.
My aim was to create a living instrument, responsive and comfortable to play, with a natural voice and a deep, warm tone, while allowing the character of the material to remain visible. The grain of the wood, revealed beneath the varnish, reflects its history and authenticity.
Designed first and foremost for music, this viola may also be appreciated as a unique piece by collectors who value craftsmanship and meaningful handmade objects.

Cet alto a été entièrement construit à la main dans mon atelier et achevé au mois de décembre. Il est le fruit de plusieurs mois de travail attentif, où chaque étape, du choix du bois au vernis, a été réalisée avec le souci de justesse, de sonorité et d’équilibre.
J’ai cherché à créer un instrument vivant, agréable à jouer, avec une réponse naturelle et une belle profondeur de timbre, tout en laissant au matériau son caractère propre. Les veines du bois, visibles sous le vernis, témoignent de son histoire et de son authenticité.
Pensé avant tout pour la musique, cet alto peut aussi trouver sa place comme pièce unique auprès de collectionneurs sensibles au travail artisanal et aux objets porteurs de sens.
