La Vidéoshop

La Vidéoshop La VideoShop occupies an empty storefront gallery in Paris June 19-30. A video viewing library daily with nightly screenings of films + videos by artists.

La Vidéoshop is a pop-up microcinema created by Sabine Gruffat & Bill Brown. During the last two weeks of June, La Vidéoshop will occupy an empty storefront gallery at 40 Rue Quincampoix in the Beaubourg district of Paris, just around the corner from the Centre Pompidou (and across the street from Le 41, a nightclub with a racy reputation: www.yelp.fr/biz/le-41-club-paris). This is a no-budget, DI

Y project. Admission is free. During the day, La Vidéoshop will be open to visitors who can drop by to view work on loan from an exciting group of contemporary film and video artists. Between June 19-30, La Vidéoshop will host nightly screenings of work or curated programs by artists who include Rebecca Baron, Roger Beebe, Mary Billyou, Dorothea Braemer, Sarah Christman, Brent Coughenour, François Daireaux, Bill Daniel, David Dinnell, Kevin Everson, Jim Finn, Jackie Goss, Shambhavi Kaul, Geoffrey Lachassagne, Carl Lee, Laura McGough, Jesse McLean, Julie Murray, Sharna Pax, Michael Robinson, Jay Rosenblatt, J.P. Sniadecki, Jenny Stark, Deborah Stratman, Trixy Sweetvittles, Cécile Tourneur, Hong An Truong, Naomi Uman, Danièle Wilmouth, and Caveh Zahedi… among others!
