If you are a foodie, try mustard, one of the most famous condiments in France !🔥

Consumed since ancient times, it has gradually become emblematic of the Burgundy region, with the renowned mustard from the city of Dijon, whose recipe is protected by a decree of 1937.
The recipe must use black or brown mustard seeds, vinegar, salt, and citric acid. In that case, nothing prevents this famous mustard from being made elsewhere than in Dijon city because the term "Moutarde de Dijon" is not legally protected. The origin of the ingredients can be very far away (a large majority of mustard seeds are imported from Canada; the French harvest is insufficient).

is one of the traditional French brands that continues to manufacture in the Dijon region (the brand now belongs to the Unilever group). It is the oldest condiment brand in France and Europe.
In 1720, Antoine Claude Maille, distiller-vinegar maker, gave birth to the brand that bears his name. In 1747, became the official supplier to the court of King Louis the XIV, and its reputation continued to grow in the following decades. became the master vinegar-maker of the kings of France and other European Courts!

You may have already seen the brand's products in other stores (even supermarkets), but has the advantage of having a charming boutique on Place de la Madeleine. A new favorite Parisian Sparrow home decoration boutique! 🇫🇷

The " A Paris chez Antoinette Poisson" workshop (aka ), located closed to the Bastille's place (75011).

In the 1700s, Dominotiers (a French guild of paper makers) hand-blocked and crafted decorative papers. Those sheets were used as wallpaper, decorative papers (book covers), or lining boxes. However, with the new continuous paper roll, the Domino technique slowly disappeared during the next century.

Fortunately, since 2012, Vincent Farelly and Jean-Baptiste Martin (heritage restorers), the creators of Antoinette Poisson in Paris, have been reviving the artisanal know-how of 18th-century domino makers in their Parisian workshop.

They even named their brand after the actual name of the Marquise de Pompadour, King Louis XV's favorite (she was a lover of art and wallpaper who lived when the domino papers flourished).

You will discover handmade decorative objects (stationery, textiles, etc.), domino papers and wallpapers by roll, and even water perfumes (inspired by the 18th century). They are original creations or inspired by historical documents, 100% Made in France.

also regularly collaborates with other well-known brands (Nina Ricci, Dyptique, Gucchi, Ladurée, Château de Versailles, La confiture parisienne, Monoprix...etc).

A new Parisian Sparrow favorite gourmet shop! 🇫🇷

If your tourist stroll has taken you to the Place de la Bastille's area (75011) and you feel it is time to eat, why not combine business with pleasure? Just walk further to l'.b. It is a gourmet gem!

This beautiful boutique happily mixes genres: a quality grocery store and a friendly place to take a refreshing break at the central counter, with a board of charcuterie and cheese, and a good glass of wine!

This place was created in 2020 by Loïc Ballet and his partner Elodie, long-time friends. Loïc is no stranger to the world of good food since he is a journalist and gastronomy columnist on television and radio. During his gourmet wanderings across France, he met most of the local producers.

Because yes, .b wants to be an activist place that defends the terroirs of France! The grocery store buys the products at prices set by the producers, so that they can make a decent living from their activities. This 100% French quality selection thus highlights the regions and the tricolor gastronomic heritage.
