Keo was born and raised in Nong Khiaw. He was our model, driver, and guide throughout our trip. Over many long and interesting conversations,exchanging perspectives from our different cultures, we eventually became friends.

Keo, our model, was talking about his childhood:
« When I was 10, a friend I was playing with in the Nam Ou River found a bomb. He picked it up to collect the metal and make a little money. It exploded. »

His friend died in front of his eyes. It was just end of the 90s.

In Nong Khiaw, trees, plants, and flowers have a rich natural scent, taste, and energy. Inspired by this nature, we worked with an atelier in India to create leaf prints. The prints are made entirely by hand, using roses and linden leaves, piece by piece, like pressed flowers. Using natural mordants (alum, onion skins, and marigolds) we imprint these botanicals into the knit.

In India, these plants are often used for temples and then discarded. Here, we use these flowers and leaves to give them a new life.

Lozère was once known for producing silk threads.
This 100% silk knit is made by twisting fine silk filaments into rope-like yarns and gently brushing them to create a light, airy texture giving it a special softness.
Lighter than wool and softer than cashmere, it is a special knit that retains the silk’s natural, elegant luster.

Slightly puffed out at the back like dresses worn by women in the past, this dress is made of 100% silk. Lozère was once a silk-producing region, and the huts where silkworms were raised still remain today as ruins.
