Michel Sardaby – Gail
(Disques Debs International – HDD 562 - France - 1975)

This 3rd album by legendary french pianist from Martinique released by cult Guadeloupean producer Henri Debs, is considered as his masterpiece.
Now an iconic and legendary album of French Modal jazz, the fruit of the collaboration of the Martinican pianist with his American acolytes Richard Davis (bass)n Billy Hart (Drums), during a trip to New York in 1975.
Mainly look after for the groovy Jazz Funk tune «Welcome New Warmth» the whole album is superb with tune like « Gail» or «Sambando Nas Ondas».

This copy is dedicated by Sardaby on the back !

Record looks and plays NM not far from flawless (check the actual audio from our instagram post) / Sleeve is EX close to NM (just very small wear on spine barley visible / dedicated on back)

Janko Nilovic And Dave Sucky – Psyc’ Impressions (Editions Montparnasse 2000 – MP 06 - 1969)

First album from 1969 by the great Janko Nilovic on french Library music label Montparnasse 2000. It seems he really inspired the Hip-Hop producers as it includes the massive psychedelic « In The Space » sampled by Jay Z for his « Death Of the Autotune » hit, « New Heart » also sampled by Action Bronson for « Jaws ». But the whole album is solid from start to finish with this really unique mix of jazz rock, psychedelic pop with sometimes eastern music influence.

Record looks EX plays almost flawless beside a few crackles on the intro on side B (swipe for several sound clips) / Sleeve is EX close to NM.

Family Of Percussion & Archie Shepp - Here Comes The Family
(Någarå - Germany - 1981)

Great German only overlooked 3rd album by Frankfurt-based jazz collective, founded in 1977 by Swiss drummer Peter Giger featuring the great Doug Hammond and legendary Archie Shepp. Includes many great tracks but the opening cut « Here Comes The Family » is really the stand-out with Archie almost rapping over superb funky jazz with steel drums.

Record is strong EX close to NM (actual soundclip of the record for sale on our instagram post) / Sleeve is in NM condition.

Romano Mussolini Trio ‎– Mirage
(PDU ‎– Pld.A 6018 – 1974 – Italy)

Rare original Italian soul jazz fusion album from 1974 with Romano Mussolini on Fender piano ( fifth and youngest child of the Italian dictator Benito Mussolini) , helped by drummer Roberto Spizzichino and Tullio De Piscopo on percussions. Includes the classic soul jazz « Blues For Alexandra » and the monster fusion titled track « Mirage » starting with the ultra groovy bass by Piero Montanari, Romano plays on Rhodes is amazing and Emilio Soana on trumpet and Glauco Masetti on sax are delivering serious solos. Legendary deep Italian Jazz album that gets harder to find especially n close to perfect condition.

Back in the early 2000’s if you look for breaks, original hip-hop samples, the Dusty Fingers comp was pretty much unmissable. I discovered many classic tracks with this great unofficial series of compilation of « obscure music ». We sell the 15 first volumes in clean condition, perfect for the djs that don’t want to take risk of bringing rare OGs for miserable dj fees !

This 3 superb albums by Malian from the great historical label Mali Music. One of the very best ethnographic series, the ‘Les Meilleurs Souvenirs De La 1ere Biennale Artistique Et Culturelle De La Jeunesse’ published by German institution Bärenreiter-Musicaphon is comprised of six separate releases, each focusing on an individual provincial orchestra group within Mali. Each group entered into national arts festivals to compete against other regional orchestras, celebrating their own language / dialects and displaying their localised slant on their national music with a heavy sense of civic pride.
