Fabric studies • 1913, « Cracow » design

Here is a jacquard from 1913. We’re fascinated by the avant-garde spirit and modernity woven into this wool and linen fabric, created by The Omega Workshops. The design, called “Cracow,” was originally intended as a durable tapestry for furnishings, yet it was also reportedly used to make a waistcoat—proof that materials constantly find new lives.

Inspiration lives within vintage pieces; it’s all about learning to look, interpret, and transform.

Tsugouharu Foujita (藤田嗣治), painter

In 1920s Paris, he cultivates an avant-garde allure that fascinates everyone: a precise bowl haircut, small round glasses, impeccably tailored clothes—sometimes slightly feminine, often marked by austere elegance.
Contemporary writers describe him as an Oriental dandy.

This style, blending Japanese rigor with Parisian whimsy, becomes a source of inspiration for lovers of vintage fashion. Foujita embodies that pivotal era when art, fashion, and life are one and the same. His friends and muses—Kiki de Montparnasse, Man Ray, and Fernande Barrey (whom he marries)—are themselves at the heart of this aesthetic effervescence. In his paintings, fabrics, hairstyles, and accessories are rendered with obsessive care: silks, lace, reimagined kimonos, cropped garçonne cuts… he captures a delicate elegance that continues to endure across the century.
