A unique crystal jardinière crafted at the Imperial Glassworks in St Petersburg in the early 20th century.

Working from a design by the artist Pyotr Krasnovsky, glass cutter Grigory Omrokov executed an intricate composition in deep-cut crystal, uniting imperial symbolism with Renaissance foliate ornament.

The base bears the monogram of Emperor Nicholas II and the date “1912”.

A rare testament to Russian imperial art, preserving in crystal the spirit of its age.
