La Maison de Z is an on-going project focus on chinese contemporary photography and independent publications.

Founded by franco-chinese artist Zhen SHI in 2015, it allows you to get to know and discover the latest works of Chinese young artists. Photobook, Artists' Book, Printed Matters from China

Join us today for the book signing of
“Kaino E” by at A Bigger Book Fair

This Saturday at A Bigger Book Fair in London, we will host a signing session for Kaino E by Saad Alsharrah at the La Maison de Z table.

Kaino E is a long-term documentary photobook centered on Kunihiko Kaino, one of the last surviving Japanese hard-hat pearl divers who migrated from Wakayama to Western Australia after the Second World War. Developed over several years through close collaboration, the book traces a life shaped by migration, labor, and the sea.

The artist will be present from 14:00–17:00 for signings and conversations.

We are ready! Join us at the 5th edition of ICP Photobook Fest this weekend at the International Center of Photography ( ) in New York City: our very first art book fair in the United States.

From May 8–10, over 75 publishers from around the world will gather on the Lower East Side for a weekend of photobooks, signings, talks, and conversations around independent publishing.

We’ll be bringing a selection of our latest releases, recent discoveries, and a few unexpected surprises to the table.

If you are in New York, come spend some time with the books and say hello ✨

As an annual summer gathering, Arles Books Fair will take place this year from July 4th to 8th, at l’École nationale supérieure de la photographie and le Collège Saint-Charles in Arles.

La Maison de Z is ready to join the summer vibe like every year. For the occasion, we will bring our upcoming released title "Selfiers: Sealed with Images" by He Bo & Xu Lei, as well as a selection from our own publications and from "China Express".
