Named is a Finnish clothing pattern label founded by sisters Saara and Laura Huhta. Named garments are a combination of Scandinavian clean-lined simplicity and interesting details. The aim of the collections is to bring a new perspective to making one's own clothes and to support ethical and ecological consuming in contrast to a clothing industry focused on fast fashion. Self-made clothing also al

lows for freedom of choice; by choosing one's colors and materials and by changing garment details, the customer can be part of the design process. If dressing is a way to express oneself then self-made clothes are self-expression at its best. Named is much more than handicrafts but it is also more than a fashion label among others - it is learning, love for creation and joy of accomplishment! Named launches two main collections a year along with themed collections throughout the year. Named patterns have five levels of difficulty, which means that anyone from a beginner to a more experienced sewer can find patterns suited to their skill level.

Suvi is an easy and versatile sewing pattern that includes two variations: a cute mini dress and a divine maxi dress. Both feature a deep V-neck, extended shoulder sleeves, and plenty of ease that's gathered with cords. This design works well in a wide range of fabrics, and by varying the material, you can make it into a relaxed everyday dress, an evening gown, or anything in between! ⁠

This is Oodi, one of the two new dress patterns just released this week!⁠

Oodi is a romantic midi dress that features a gathered bust and a curved belt that ties into a bow at the back. The dress has long sleeves with elastic cuffs, a V-neckline, and button plackets that extend all the way down to the hem. The skirt is gathered at the waist, and it comes with side pockets.⁠
