🏆THE WEAVING PROJECT OF THE YEAR COMPETITION IS HERE!🏆

Have you woven something fun this year on a floor loom or a rigid heddle loom? Whether your piece is big or small, simple or intricate – we want to see it! 💛

📏SET YOUR STRETCHER (TEMPLE) TO THE RIGHT WIDTH 📏

A stretcher helps maintain an even fabric width throughout the weaving process – it's especially important when weaving rugs or poppana. When properly adjusted, it also prevents the reed from wearing through your selvedge threads.

🔹 Check the correct width next to the reed: the base of the stretcher’s prongs should sit 2–4 warp ends in from the edge of the fabric (use 4 ends for delicate yarns, 2 for stronger ones).
🔹 Adjust the stretcher to match the width of your work and place it on the woven cloth 0.5–1 cm from the fell.
🔹 Fasten one side first, then the other, and finally press the center into place.
🔹 Lock the width using the plastic slider.
🔹 Move the stretcher frequently – about every 4 cm – to keep your fabric evenly woven.

💡 Tip: Don’t place the stretcher too close to the reed, be**er, or breast beam – they may get damaged. Remove the stretcher when advancing the warp from the beam.

🛠️ HOW TO ASSEMBLE A LOOM EASILY AND CORRECTLY!

The loom is the heart of weaving – but how do you assemble it properly? ✨
Read the tips below to ensure your assembly goes smoothly from the very beginning!

🔹 Make sure all parts are at hand
🔹 Ask a friend for help if possible
🔹 Start with the frame and follow the instructions in the correct order
🔹 Attach the remaining parts as instructed
🔹 Ensure the loom stands evenly on the floor
🔹 It is especially important that the be**er is straight, moves smoothly, and touches both upper uprights simultaneously
🔹 Finally, tighten all nuts, screws and wedges properly
