Covering over 3,000 kilometers in just three months requires a machine capable of conquering everything from icy winter roads to rugged volcanic landscapes. Coming from a road cycling background, performance and efficiency were absolute priorities for Max Pfuller, which is why they chose the Terra Race for their next bike.

Now, while preparing for upcoming goals, he looks back at the MyOrbeaCustom design process and highlight his choice: "I configured it myself using Orbea’s custom configurator, and the silver finish is one of my favorite details. Depending on the light and surroundings, it looks slightly different every time. Sometimes clean and minimal, sometimes bold and striking. This makes every ride and every photo feel unique."

One year ago, we celebrated one of the most significant milestones in our recent racing history.

We had taken a massive responsibility: partnering with a top-tier team and entering a discipline before the first rideable prototypes even arrived.

We did not wait for the perfect conditions or play it safe. Instead, the entire Orbea crew and the team relied on sheer passion, adaptability, and an unyielding commitment to the grind.

Who would have predicted that a journey born from such uncertainty would lead us to a historic World Cup victory?

That is what happens when you embrace the unknown, trust the process, and draw your own line.

At Orbea, we believe gravel is evolving into something much bigger than competition alone.

Events like The Traka have become key meeting points for the global cycling community, bringing together athletes, brands, media and riders from around the world in Girona during one of the most influential weeks in modern gravel cycling.

Through the Orbea Hub, we wanted to support our athletes beyond race performance itself, creating a shared space built around preparation, recovery, collaboration and the human side of the sport during The Traka 360 and Traka 200. A place where product, people and community naturally connect.

The week also became the perfect environment to showcase the Orbea Terra and Orbea Terra Race, developed to meet the evolving demands of gravel riding and racing, where speed increasingly depends on balancing performance, endurance and long-distance comfort.

As gravel continues to grow globally, we see projects like this as part of our role within the discipline: not only building bikes, but helping shape the culture and community forming around them.

Cycling has been a constant for Marek Rowinski for as long as he can remember. Living in Warsaw and working in a bicycle shop, his life revolves around the pedals, eventually leading him to choose Orbea for his personal rides.

While his roots were in fixed-gear and road cycling, a shift toward gravel opened a new perspective on where a bike can take the rider. Seeking a platform that balances professional performance with the versatility to escape traffic and explore new terrain, Marek recently completed his second Terra build. This custom Terra project is a dream build fueled by his technical knowledge and the inspiration of athletes like Morgan Aguirre, Speed Company Racing, and Griffin Easter. It is a reflection of a life dedicated to the sport and the constant search for the next path to explore.
