🚨 OUT THIS WEEKEND! HTO TEMPEST LURE RODS
The most comprehensive range of lure rods available…
We’ve named each Tempest rod based on the type of fishing it’s suited for. Instead of aimless length and weight descriptions, we’ve given you an idea of what each rod is designed to do.
All rods are made from a high-volume 40-ton Japanese carbon, this helps keep the blanks light but ultra-strong and crisp. It aids their recovery, making these the most accurate, distance casting tools we’ve ever produced at this price. We’ve further strengthened the blanks by using X-Tec Mesh, this unique wrap protects the integrity of the blank, further enhancing its performance and durability.
A wise man once said, “to add speed, add lightness” — to that end, we’ve looked at each rod and removed several whippings to reduce their weight, many rods have unnecessary whippings around the reel seats and butt caps. These are merely cosmetic, but add weight. We also think this minimalistic style looks cool, too!
All rods are built using Fuji Guides and Fuji Reel Seats.
The range includes:
HTO Tempest - Edge | 5'8" | Max 3g | 0.2 - 0.4 PE | Solid Tip - £124.99
As the name suggests, this is a rod that is perfect for working at short range with light lures. Whether you’re fishing in and around rocks, rock pools or flicking lures in a tree lined stream, this is the rod to go for. Perfect for on the drop style fishing and for flicking baits between boats and pontoons. The solid tip helps to increase bite detection, while the fish feels less resistance as it mouths a bait. This rod is tremendous fun, in the right circumstances.
HTO Tempest - Infinite | 6'6" | Max 7g | 0.2 - 0.4 PE | Solid Tip - £139.99
The rod with infinite light lure uses and exceptional bite detection, especially when you’re fishing for shy biting fish. The solid tip is fantastic for working jig heads and soft lures, giving you maximum bite detection and the fish no awareness of what’s going on. An exquisite rod whether you’re fishing for gobies or perch.
HTO Tempest - Precision | 6'10" | Max 5g | 0.2 - 0.4 PE | Tubular Tip - £139.99
Precision — fitted with a tubular tip, this rod provides the ultimate in lure control and increased feel as to what’s happening on the business end. The tubular tip also helps increase its casting accuracy. The perfect rod for ultralight lure fishing for perch in the canal or harbours and structures, hunting gobies and other minis. This rod can fish just about anything from jig heads to small hard lures to metals.
HTO Tempest - Rock Rover | 6'11 | Max 7g | 0.2-0.4 PE | Twin Tip - £169.99
Designed for the travelling, ultra-light angler. It breaks down into 4 sections measuring 60 cm and comes with both a solid and a tubular tip. It is small enough to fit hand luggage, ideal for taking on holiday or to keep in the car.
HTO Tempest - Control | 7'2" | Max 7g | 0.2 - 0.4 PE | Tubular Tip - £144.99
This rod excels at casting accuracy and has insane bite detection! The tubular tip is a joy to watch as a fish homes in on a lure. This tip has been engineered to impart plenty of action into the lure with minimal effort, too. A great choice whether you’re fishing hard or metal lures or jig heads at longer range.
HTO Tempest - Range | 7'4" | Max 11g | 0.2 - 0.6 PE | Tubular Tip - £154.99
A sensitive, accurate casting rod that covers a broad range of uses. Whether you’re fishing Neko, Jighead, Dropshot, with Cheb Rigs, Ned or other similar tactics, this rod is a winner. It’s also a dab hand with hard lures sub-surface or top water. Want to use some metals? It can do that too. The rod has plenty of lifting power and a beautiful playing action.
HTO Tempest - Versatile | 7'4" | Max 14g | 0.2 - 0.6 PE | Solid Tip - £154.99
When you need a rod that can do everything in the light game market, the versatile ticks that box. Capable of fishing with metals, pencil lures, top waters and jig heads. A capable rod that can be used for light tackle bass and wrasse fishing, as well as perch and zander.
HTO Tempest - Combat | 8'2" | 5-25g | 0.6 - 1.2 PE | Tubular Tip - £189.99
Designed as a bass lure fishing rod, but with scope for everything else too. A versatile rod that is at home fishing with metals, hard lures and soft baits from open shingle in calm seas to estuaries and rocks.
HTO Tempest - Bay Area | 8'8" | 6-30g | 0.8 - 1.5 PE | Tubular Tip - £204.99
An all-round shore lure fishing rod that is happy fishing into a surf as it is fishing deeper rock marks and estuaries. A lovely rod for fishing with weightless soft plastics and hard baits.
HTO Tempest - Mainstream | 9'3" | 7-35g | 0.8 - 1.5 PE | Tubular Tip - £224.99
A bass lure fishing rod designed to cast lighter lures to long distances. The extra length coupled with the rod's natural recovery ensures that lures are cast accurately, especially handy when fishing around boulders and features. The extra length also helps to steer fish around obstacles when trying to land them.
HTO Tempest - Mainstream T | 9'3" | 7-35g | 0.8 - 1.5 PE | Tubular Tip - £239.99
The travel Tempest! Built to the same specification as the Mainstream, ideal for casting lighter hard lures to distance, this rod comes in 4 pieces and is ideal for keeping in the car or packing in a suitcase. You don’t have to compromise when you travel with the Mainstream T.
HTO Tempest - Outer Limits | 9'6" | 10-42g | 1.0 - 2.0 PE | Tubular Tip - £234.99
The perfect long-distance casting lure fishing rod that is highly accurate. The stiffer tip helps when fishing in windy conditions, especially on open surf beaches or exposed rock marks. The rod has plenty of power to land big fish in adverse conditions.
HTO Tempest - Launcher | 11' | 20-80g | 1.5 - 3.0 PE | Tubular Tip - £284.99
An extreme casting rod! This is the most powerful blank in the range, designed to cast heavy soft plastics, hard lures and metals. If you’re fishing in extreme conditions or need that extra power to cover more water, the Launcher is just the tool for the job.
HTO Tempest - Inshore | 8' | 7-35g | Vert. 90g | 0.8 - 1.5 PE - £199.99
The boat fishing lure rod that comes in a long tip, short butt configuration, which enhances the power curve of the rod. This is a crisp, responsive blank that has a slightly more progressive action than the other rods in the Tempest range. Primarily designed for working soft lures from a boat, it also lends itself to working metals as well. A powerful butt section helps to subdue hard fighting fish when fishing vertically, such as bass, pollack, and wrasse.
