Just to let everyone know that over the summer and autumn of 2021 my illness became a lot worse and resulted finally in a operation last Friday and now I start the road to recovery.

I am so sorry that I have not been able to offer the Dandie Decorations for this Christmas , I have been too ill and I don't want to let anyone down.

My recovery is set for about a good 3 months or so and then after that I hope to reopen for next year. All my lasers are still good as are my designs, sadly its just me who is the problem.

So I will wish you all a very happy dandie Christmas and a wonderful new year to us all.

This is a photo of where I live in Spain, Its called Sitges and I thought you might like to see it, I took it early one morning a few months back. I'm sorry that I have not been able to post much but I am not well at the moment and its causing problems for me to work.

As soon as I am better I will be back with a vengeance. Thank you all.

I will be back soon, my operation was cancelled due to my illness and this is holding everything up, The laser is now taking shape as well in to a much bigger machine.

I only can build a little bit at a time due to a total lack of energy and difficulty in breathing.

Hi Everyone

I am sorry I havent posted anything for a while but I have been ill ( not covid related) most of January and also I am in the middle of upgrading my Laser to a much bigger machine.

I am a lot better now and just waiting on some more pieces to arrive so I can finish the upgrade. this will give me a 1 metre laser bed as against a 200 by 300 mm laser bed which is roughly A4 size.

It just means I can do much much larger objects which is what i want to do, Kids toys and things like that are top of my list with my wife being a Early Years Teacher and Special Needs Teacher Combined.

I think that list will be quite long.

With Brexit the new customs controls are being awful here , I guess the same in the UK, Its early days and no doubt will settle down, it should affect us in view of what the items are and that they can all go by small post.

Sadly my mechanical bits (large box 1 metre long) for the laser have been in customs for over a month so the Tracking says! I think a warehouse somewhere really and I'm just being fobbed off.

I hope to be back and lasering again in the next few weeks with new ideas.

Hello everyone, I hope you all had a good Christmas and New year celebration and are settled in to 2021.

During the holiday period I was asked to do a special commission by one of our Dandie people and of course I was delighted to be able to help at such short notice.

This was for a beautiful wedding on the last day of 2020 but can be equally used for a wedding anniversary or for Valentines day or even engagements.

I can also add the Dandie element as well and if we have any Dandies getting hitched it can also be for them... Price on request and it can be sent framed or unframed.

Happy Christmas to all our Dandies and I hope they are nicely on their trees in their new homes.

Just as a taster for next year I have designed these little things for Christmas Day gifts or just present giving.

They are a personal name plate for everyone who comes to us that day.

These can obviously be made with Dandies in mind for next year and I can either personalise them for the big day or I can leave them blank for you to add names and a message on the back as that will be left clear.

They can be for any gift occasion and special Christmas themed tags.

I will offer the two versions, each one is about 4.5cms square so a nice size. My wife has put little diamantes on these ones for something a little extra special for this Christmas.

I hope you like them as much as we do, they just add something more personal to the gifts, we have a lot of deer where we are in the forests of Spain, hence the Stag. Next year Dandies!!

The spinner is for one of the young kids thats coming who adores his ginormous Great Dane, Scooby! I just cut it out of normal acrylic and popped in a bearing. Great fun for fiddly fingers.

Hi everyone, this is something we have been working on over the last couple of weeks following a request and we will hopefully be able to offer these as part of our Dandie laser gift items in January along with other things.

This is the first version we are releasing to gauge reaction, the idea will be you send us a great photograph of your favorite Dandie and we will be able to transfer your Dandie on to slate.

We are able to produce Coasters or Plaques or anything that you would like to be in slate as long as it fits on our Lasers. ( ideas always welcome) which at the moment are A4

Due to weight issues these will be made by my laser partner Chris who lives in South Wales and uses good old Welsh slate sourced locally to his village. All orders International or Home will come from South Wales on slate products.

Chris and I have been working on projects over the last year and we feel that this will be an excellent addition to our line of items.

I will be updating the list in January and the first will be personalised coasters in packs of 4 or 6.

To give you an idea of time, the artwork from photograph to digital laser imagery takes about 1 hour and each coaster takes 20 to 25 minutes to engrave. We hope to be able to supply these within 7 days of order.

The prices for these will be similar to what is commercially available on eBay for personalised Laser engraving. We will try our very best to make it competitive but maintain quality.

Not every photograph can be used to make these, we will do our very best to produce a image but because of the special Dandie colouring Pepper and Mustard it makes it difficult to transfer to an engravable image.

If we feel your photograph is not suitable we will ask you to supply another and we will give advice on how to capture the best look.

We really excited about being able to use this medium and of course being able to supply this from home grown slate is great. We haven't fully decided on what we can produce but name plates, coasters, pictures, markers, house numbers are just a few.

I will also on special request be able to make a small marking plaque for those Dandies that have gone on to other places if this is something that anyone would like. Please just drop me a line and I will take care of this for you.

To finish we thank all of you for your recent orders and hope that we can bring more great Dandie items for you in 2021 along with a lot more Christmas items for next year.

ps this one was produced with a slight sepia tint on purpose for a customer, they are actually quite light when finished, they can be finished in a light spray of varnish, wax or left natural.

We did this for my friend in Wales , its an idea for next year only, not necessarily a remembrance ring, if that is what people would like we can do that but a celebration of your Dandie say with his name and date of birth and his picture.

We are currently experimenting with lasering Dandies onto wood, Its actually very difficult because of their colour, the labrador was easy as he is chocolate brown, but were dealing with black and white colour only and there is a lot of that in a dandie so they disappear.

We are trying also to laser both sides for you.

Once we have this problem sorted I will be putting them up for people to see, the idea will be you send in a digital face photo as good as you can get and we will take over.
