في إطار جهود شركة واج لإحياء الحِرَف المصرية الأصيلة وربطها بالابتكار الحديث، نطلق برنامج “صُنّاع إسنا” الذي تبدأ أولى ورشه بإعادة تقديم تقنية Energetic Cloth المصرية القديمة، وهي تقنية تقوم على نسج الكتان النقي ووضع الوصلات في نقاط طاقية محسوبة تمنح مرتديها راحة فائقة وتوازناً حيوياً. وخلال هذه الورشة يتعرف المشاركون على أسرار النسيج المصري القديم، وأنواع لفّ الخيوط، وطريقة توزيع الوصلات الطاقية، ثم ينتقلون لتطبيق عملي يستلهم أزياء الملكة نفرتاري بلمسات عصرية قابلة للارتداء اليوم، بما يخلق تجربة تجمع بين العلم، والفن، والهوية. ويهدف برنامج “صُنّاع إسنا” إلى تمكين جيل جديد من المبدعين القادرين على تصميم أزياء مستدامة ترتبط بجذور المدينة وتعيد تقديم تراث إسنا بروح معاصرة، لتصبح الحرفة القديمة مصدر إلهام وفرص اقتصادية جديدة.
As part of WAJ’s efforts to revive authentic Egyptian crafts and connect them with modern innovation, we are launching the “Esna Makers” program, whose first workshop reintroduces the ancient Egyptian Energetic Cloth technique. This technique is based on weaving pure linen and placing connectors at calculated energetic points that provide the wearer with exceptional comfort and vital balance.
During the workshop, participants will explore the secrets of ancient Egyptian weaving, the different methods of thread twisting, and how to distribute energetic connectors. They will then move on to a practical application inspired by Queen Nefertari’s garments, reimagined with modern, wearable touches—creating an experience that blends science, art, and identity.
The “Esna Makers” program aims to empower a new generation of creators capable of designing sustainable fashion connected to the city’s roots, reviving Esna’s heritage in a contemporary spirit, and transforming this ancient craft into a source of inspiration and new economic opportunities.
