Don’t ask me about my WIP pile, because there’s always at least dozen started projects there (not counting the kitted or “I will start that next” ones). And somewhere along the way I started forgetting the fabric they’re stitched on, floss changes, or that I even did start anything (Looking at you, birthday present intended for last October). So after some trial and error I made myself a neat little planner to keep track of everything - the stitching companion.

It turned out not just cute, but also quite helpful! Would you like to try one as well? I have just a few left out of my first test print run, and for the next two days (until I leave on a little vacation) it will be available to grab in my Еtsy!

We’re done with the wings! Can you guess what we’ll occupy the bottom right corner of the design?

The penultimate part of the stitch along is released today, and we are one step short of the full design! This is so exciting, and I’m really happy with how it looks!

So while we wait for the last release let’s play a guessing game: what do you think will appear in the blank space in the right corner? Drop your guesses in the comments!

Yikes, sorry for the scheduling error with the birthday post - it was posted a bit too early! Please come to celebrate with me in the end of the month!

Introducing these gorgeous Venus figurines - a celebration of the beauty of a woman’s body! The pattern is inspired by three little figurines from Paleolithic era. All three were made in different parts of Europe in different times (there’s several thousands years between the oldest and the newest), all three are absolutely gorgeous!

Featuring: the Venus of Willendorf, the Venus of Eliseevichi, and the Venus of Dolni Vestonice.

The pattern is available on my Pаtreon (still so excited about opening it!) for the Grove and Inner Sanctum tiers. The mythology and history behind it is available to everyone in an unlocked Pаtreon post!

The model is lovingly cross stitched by the amazing in called for Weeks Dye Works floss in Odyssey Lugana by Atomic Ranch.

When I was a little girl, we firmly believed that finding a five-petal lilac blossom was as lucky (if not more!) as finding a four leaf clover. In May, when lilacs were in full bloom, we’d roam around in the bushes looking, looking, and looking. To complete the magic, the blossom had to be eaten.

Spring was mostly cold and gloomy here in Tallinn, and lilacs just started blossoming last week. Of course, I have to stop at every bush for a smell, and look what was wearing for me among these blossoms!

The jury is so out on whether I should eat it or just keep it, but of course I had to take some photos! The Glimpse of Snowdrops graciously agreed to be the cross stitch prop 🤣

What brings you luck? Tell me!

Last week I packaged and shipped away the last copy of the first print of The Emerging Queendom. To be honest, when we published we were not quite sure that the print would sell out - and here it is completely gone, all copies off to their new homes! I am going to miss the huge boxes getting gradually smaller, turning to stacks, and then to one stack, and then to a few books.

Now me a Paige are faced with a question: should we print more? If yes, then how much?

The digital version is of course still available, but the feeling of a beautiful hard bound full color illustrated book is a different thing altogether, isn’t it?

Throwback Friday: Artemis, the virgin goddess of wilderness and the hunt.

She is pictured with one of her sacred animals, the deer - I drew him with ancient vases as reference. I also gave her a short tunic rather than a long chiton - it would be much easier to run and hunt this way, wouldn’t it?

The pattern is stitched on 32 count Lugana in Sulky Petites floss.

❤️ We have a paw! ❤️ Part nine of the current stitch along, In Our Dreams We Are Dancing, is out today - and we are getting closer and closer to the final reveal of the whole design!

Only two parts left to go for the whole gorgeous dragon to spread her mighty wings. Meanwhile I have hidden something interesting in the bottom right corner, would you like to guess what that might be?

The model is stitched in called for DMC floss on 32 count Vapors Lugana by Atomic Ranch.

💚 There’s a lonely Tavern, which stands on the edge between the world of spirits and the world of humans. You can probably guess that this pattern is inspired by fairytale and medieval imagery, but there’s even more to it!

The Tavern at the Edge of the woods took a while to be developed: more than a year from conception to the design! For one simple reason: it was originally one of my ideas for The Emerging Queendom book (do you remember Valeria and her inn?). Another pattern, featuring the innkeeper herself, went to be part of the book, and the sketch for the Tavern stayed in my sketch book waiting.

But time and again I stumbled upon it, and it felt so real and full of life - just needing to be more than just a rough drawing. So here it is!

Cross stitch pattern: The Tavern at the Edge of the Woods
Stitched in called for The Gentle Art floss on 40 count linen.
Nashville release 2026, now available as a regular PDF.
