Sending love to Carol and Lee Dubs, without whom Carolina Bookstore would not exist. Carol passed away this week after a long struggle with illness.

She and Lee moved to Cuenca in 2003, when there were very few English speakers. They opened the bookstore in 2006 and grew it over 11 years into a successful business and community hub, while teaching English and Spanish to countless adults and children. They sold the business in 2017 and left Cuenca, but have been sorely missed by many in the city.
