Our story
Robert Breidenstein and Max Hofmann founded Breidhof as a small, family driven hosiery mill in 1923 in Biedenkopf in Germany. Over the years, Breidhof refined and expanded the company and developed proud traditions as the preferred supplier of knitwear for the entire family. In 1966 Breidhof decided to phase out their collections for women and children to focus entirely on menswear. Breidhof remained family owned for many years until Belika acquired the brand in 2013. Two years later, Belika merged with the house of Clipper. To this day, Breidhof is renowned for high quality knitwear for men, and we are proud to have the Breidhof brand in our portfolio.
