I finally left the shop on 27th Feb having emptied it. Thanks to all again who visited and helped..... but that is not it, be sure to visit the shop from this Easter as I know the WHOLE shop will be a new, exciting kite shop, something I cannot wait to see....

Well, that's it. The shop is finally closed for ever! Thanks to everyone who passed by and purchased something and for those people who are regulars every year, I will miss you all and I thank you again for your custom. It was greatly appreciated.
Unfortunately the "red tape" and the politics of the island, in my opinion, leave a lot to be desired and certainly don't help tourism. After 'banging' my head on the same wall for the previous 5 years and getting nowhere, and gaining no support from the Kommune, it was time to call it a day. Unfortunate as it is, a new chapter begins for me. I hope to catch up with some of the regular visitors in their home towns and I will definitely be visiting Fanø again, as I think the Island is beautiful.

Welcome to October and as most of you know, my final month running the shop on the lovely island of Fanø. With regret, the shop will be closed permanently as of the beginning of November. Everything must go, so if you are on Fanø during October or plan on visiting the island, swing by for a final farewell and maybe pick up a bargain in the process!! See you.......

Lovely day for another swim, my third this summer and a packed beach! Looks like summer might have ended because today is a howling gale!! I guess time will tell........

First dip in the ocean yesterday with a friend. Water was a bit colder than expected but a gorgeous day, so was nice to freshen up and relax for 30 mins. Temperature gauge reached the maximum temperature today (in the sun) 44.4°C!! Previous best was 41.4°C. Looks like it will be another hot one today.....how hot will it get today?

Looks like it will be a great weekend and my son is coming for 3 days, so should be a GREAT weekend. He is being brought up here by a couple who are visiting for the weekend and had to drive past his house, what a result!! Let's hope for some wind, because he will definitely want to have another go on a Blokart!!

Proof that the accident didn't put him off. Here you can see he gets a couple more 2 wheel experiences and rides them superbly. He did take a little persuasion to try again though!! (Quite a long video, 2 mins!)

Rian enjoying it a little too much! This was his first time on 2 wheels. I had prepared him for what happens, but it still surprised him. He was fine, by the way!!
