Thomas E. Alken is among the leading contemporary Danish industrial designers. Since graduating from the Danish Design School in 1997, he has spent more than two decades shaping a design practice rooted in clarity, functionality, and a modern sense of accessibility.
His work for FDB Møbler reflects this philosophy. From the Sammen outdoor series to the 7-9-13 sofa, Alken combines clean lines with a deep understanding of everyday life. His designs are created with the human body in mind, prioritising comfort, movement, and social interaction.

Seen at , the J146 armchair by Erik Ole Jørgensen (1978) stands as a refined example of classic Danish furniture design. Its rounded forms and spindle back create a soft yet structured expression, while the curved armrests invite moments of rest and reflection.
With a background as both upholsterer and furniture architect, Jørgensen achieved a particularly harmonious balance between frame and cushions, resulting in a chair that is both visually light and exceptionally comfortable.

Børge Mogensen is widely known for his iconic sofas and chairs, but his modular storage designs reflect an equally important part of his legacy. Developed from the early 1950s, these building furniture systems were created with a focus on practicality, flexibility, and everyday living.
As spring invites a sense of renewal, these designs provide the perfect foundation for organising and redefining your space with clarity, simplicity, and timeless Danish design.

As an extension of the minimalist Teglgaard series by Salto & Sigsgaard, a lounge chair and matching stool were introduced in 2022, continuing the same refined and functional design language as the original outdoor chair.
Crafted from brushed stainless steel and woven polyester cord, the materials create a light and transparent expression while ensuring durability in changing weather conditions.
Furnish your outdoor space with the Teglgaard lounge chair and embrace the arrival of spring. A setting defined by simplicity, comfort, and a calm Scandinavian aesthetic.

The U11 Sletterhage lamp and the S8 Lupin vase come together in a calm and cohesive kitchen setting, where light, material, and form are carefully balanced. The transparent, ribbed glass of the lamp adds a sense of lightness, while softly diffusing the light across the space.
Paired with the Lupin vase, the composition gains a tactile and organic contrast. Its sculptural shape and unique glaze introduce warmth and individuality, complementing the clean lines of the surroundings.

Grethe Meyer was a pioneering Danish designer whose work combined analytical precision with a deep respect for everyday use. Trained as an architect, she focused on creating functional, space-saving designs grounded in simplicity.
Her Ildpot series (1976) exemplifies this approach. Made in durable stoneware, it was designed to move seamlessly from oven to table, combining practicality with a refined, minimalist expression. The pieces are stackable and proportioned with precision, reflecting Meyer’s focus on efficiency, material integrity, and everyday usability.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of Ildpot, a testament to its enduring relevance and timeless design.

The C35 dining table, designed by Poul M. Volther in 1957, stands as one of FDB Møbler’s enduring classics. Defined by its light and refined expression, the table reflects Volther’s functionalist approach, where form follows purpose and simplicity remains central.
Paired with the Holmen chairs, the setting brings together clarity and calm. Inspired by the idea of “Holmen” a place shaped by water and quiet isolation, the chairs echo a sense of balance and harmony through their clean lines and gentle curves.
Together, the C35 and Holmen create a cohesive dining experience. A composition rooted in Danish design heritage, where functionality, atmosphere, and understated elegance meet.

Børge Mogensen designed the J27 stool during his time at FDB’s design studio in the 1940s.
The J27 is a versatile piece, equally suited for the dining table, informal seating, or daily tasks in the kitchen. Crafted from durable materials, it is made to last and develop a natural patina over time, reflecting Mogensen’s commitment to quality and longevity.

Mogens Koch designed his iconic bookcases in 1944, an enduring symbol of Nordic functionalism, found everywhere from private homes to institutional spaces.
Defined by their simplicity and exceptional craftsmanship, the modular book boxes can be arranged horizontally, stacked vertically, or mounted on the wall, offering remarkable flexibility. Their lasting relevance lies in this adaptability, paired with a timeless aesthetic.
Here seen at , where the natural expression of the wood and the modular logic unfold in a refined and contemporary setting.
