MAPP

MAPP The MAPP Centre at Aarhus BSS, Aarhus University, does research that addresses the interface between food companies and their markets.

The MAPP Centre’s works lies in the interface between food producers and their markets. Particularly the MAPP Centre’s research focuses on consumer food-related behaviour – how consumers make decisions, their perception of quality, how they shop for food, which role food and drink plays in their lives, and why their attitudes towards GMO are negative but positive towards high-pressure processing?

The question concerning how this insight into consumer behaviour can be exploited in user-driven innovation in the food sector is another of the MAPP Centre’s research topics.

‘Healthy eating’ has become a core topic which has implications both for food producers (how to develop healthier products which the consumers will like, and how to communicate healthiness) and for public health policies.
