This case by 𝗙𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘅 𝗚𝗼𝗻𝘇𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘇-𝗟𝗼𝗽𝗲𝘇, 𝗠𝗗, 𝗣𝗵𝗗 shows how supported both the preoperative assessment and planning of a 60-year-old patient with high myopia and a visually significant cataract – and provided objective postoperative confirmation of the anatomical and refractive outcome.

Following femtosecond laser-assisted and implantation of a Tecnis PureSee IOL, the patient achieved 1.00 uncorrected visual acuity and plano refraction.

Postoperative CASIA2 analysis confirmed a well-positioned IOL with minimal tilt and decentration, alongside the expected increase in anterior chamber depth and stable corneal parameters.

A case that illustrates how CASIA2 can provide objective, visually intuitive documentation before and after cataract surgery – supporting preoperative planning, postoperative quality control and clinical confidence.

𝗔 𝘄𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗧𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗬 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗽 🤩🍹🌦️
Our recent hiking trip to Kreuzberg in Hallerndorf had it all: sunshine during the hike, arriving at the brewery just before the rain started, an exciting brewery tour with a movie experience, and delicious food and cold drinks.

We wrapped up the successful day in best spirits with a great evening – including a little shower from above.

A special milestone: after three years, Alexander Zwenger has successfully completed his as an export coordinator in our sales department at the end of June 2026. During this time, he has made excellent progress, gained valuable experience, and supported our team with great dedication. We are delighted that he will be continuing his profession with us in the future. Our heartfelt thanks also go to his vocational trainer, Anastassia Wist, for her excellent support.

Last week we were pleased to welcome our distribution partner OPHTAZON AFRICA to our premises for a Sales & Application training session. OPHTAZON is responsible for the distribution of TOMEY devices exclusively within Africa. Product Manager Kathrin Seybold and Sales Manager Elias Gashnawi welcomed our guests, Sadreddine Mehri and Ibrahim Inrombe, to the Sales & Application Training. The training was provided on some of our devices, such as the MR‑6000 Multifunction Unit and the EM‑4000 Specular Microscope. We would like to express our thanks for the visit and the excellent collaboration.

𝗗𝗢𝗖 – 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 🌟
With over 7,500 attendees, in Nuremberg, Germany, was a success last week. Leading experts presented innovations and new developments and discussed the gold standards of eye surgery and with the audience.

At the booth of our German distribution partner, LiKoMed GmbH, we were delighted to present our diagnostic devices for pre-operative examinations. Our sincere thanks go out to all our distribution partners who took the time to visit us. It is always a pleasure to see you in person, and the exchange of ideas is a highlight at every congress.

We are already looking forward to seeing you again at the next events!

Melanie has been a true TOMEY employee for 25 years and has helped shape the company with great commitment and passion. We are also proud to announce that, as of 1 March 2026, she has been promoted to Head of our Sales Coordination and Purchasing Department.
