Mein Name ist Phil Wheeler, nennt mich Philthy 😉 Schon von klein auf fesselt mich das Thema Gitarren, Bässe und Musik. Meine Leidenschaft zur Musik, Mosrite, Höfner und Rickenbacker Instrumenten, möchte ich mit euch teilen. Ich freue mich immer wieder auf regen Gesprächs-austausch und will hier auch mit meinem Angebot an Instrumenten die

se an euch bringen. Bei mir bekommt Ihr auch vermackte und runtergerockte Instrumente. Warum auch nicht – Das ist Charakter und die Instrumente haben Ihre Geschichte, solange Sie technisch in einem einwandfreien Zustand sind. Natürlich besitze ich auch Instrumente der üblichen Hersteller und werde auch von diesen Marken hin und wieder eine Gitarre oder Bass anbieten. Es freut mich immer riesig, wenn ich einen fertigen Auftrag an euch zurückgeben kann….das Lachen, die Freude und das Grinsen….es macht mich sehr Glücklich und ich finde genau so sollte es sein, dass beide Zufrieden sind. A beautiful Höfner 185 shortscale bass resting on the sun ☀️

I have always had a special appreciation for left-handed instruments. My father was left-handed, rest in peace my wonderful Dad ❤️, and as a lifelong Beatles fan, I used to think it would have been wonderful to be left-handed myself - simply because the instruments are rarer, more exclusive, and somehow even more desirable. The legendary left-handed Höfner 500/1 Violin Bass has always been one of those dream instruments for me. Restoring left-handed instruments is something I genuinely enjoy. Every step of the restoration has to be approached in reverse, requiring you to constantly think and work in a mirrored way. It makes every project feel fresh and keeps you fully focused from start to finish. For that reason, it was a real pleasure to restore this exceptional bass, and I hope it will now find a home with someone who appreciates it just as much. Its in the shop , get it

Out in the green fields and rolling hills, I stumbled upon a beautiful sight – three grasshoppers resting together. A rare moment, much like having three Brokat guitars in my workshop at the same time 🥰

Here we have two 1964 Höfner 176s and an early 1963 Höfner 175. Each one has been lovingly restored by me and is now ready to return to the stage, bringing its unique vintage charm back to life.

New in, fresh from the field, rescued and restored: this beautiful 1964 Hofner 500/1 Violin Bass with its stunning original sunburst finish.

The back features a gorgeous piece of tiger maple - something you don't see very often.
After a neck reset with hide glue and a professional fret leveling by me it now plays beautifully and is ready for many more years of music and yeah yeah yeahhh.

It's now listed in the shop and ready for a new home 😊

Another Hofner pickup rewinding session. Sometimes over 30 coils a session. Some for projects, some for customer. I rewound over 1200 the last years and i still cant stop 😅 love this Franz pix pickups

A nice rare Hofner 175 II tele has left my restoring bench and is ready to cut down some wood...wood of other guitars, because this 175 II is a sustain monster 😁 you hit a note and it sings and sings. A guitar that really makes fun to play. Its listed in the Shop, get it

Same spot, same model - just a few years later. A beautiful 60s sunburst Höfner 182 enjoying a sunbath by the sea in the Netherlands before I take it home for restoration. Soon to be freshly revived after the holidays 😉😊

Golden slumber 🍁🍂

A 1966 Hofner 500/1 bass with custom gold top finish shines in the late golden autumn sun. I always wanted to spray a gold top finish on a violin bass and this here was the perfect base for it. Vintage mixture for authentic nitro cracks and a green coat under it. This bass is for sale 😉😊
