Necelý měsíc a půl je k vidění jeden z nejcennějších uměleckých objektů ve výstavě Přemyslovci – panovnická dynastie a její doba. Po uplynutí této doby musí epištolář ze 14. století kvůli ochraně putovat zpátky do knihovny a bude nahrazen jiným rukopisem. 👑
Epištolář, čili kniha, ze které se četly během mše úryvky apoštolských epištol, byl zřejmě zhotovený v dílně při svatovítské kapitule. Je speciální tím, že jsou zde svátky zasvěcené českým světcům, Václavovi, Vojtěchovi, Prokopovi a Ludmile.
Hodnotnou výzdobu tvoří dvě výrazné malované a zlacené iniciály a velké množství kvalitních kaligrafických iniciál.
Nenechte si jej ujít. 📢
Epištolář bude na začátku června nahrazen dalším významným originálním rukopisem ze 13. století - evangeliářem pražské diecéze.

For only a month and a half, one of the most valuable artistic objects is on display in the exhibition Přemyslovci – the Ruling Dynasty and Its Era. After this period, it must return to the library for conservation reasons and will be replaced by another manuscript. 👑
The epistolary, a book from which passages of the Apostolic Epistles were read, was most likely produced in a workshop associated with the chapter of St. Vitus Cathedral. It is special in that it includes feasts dedicated to Czech saints—Saint Wenceslas, Saint Adalbert, Saint Procopius, and Saint Ludmila.
Its valuable decoration consists of two striking painted and gilded initials and a large number of finely crafted calligraphic initials.Do not miss the opportunity to see it. 📢
In early June, the collection of letters will be replaced by another significant original manuscript from the 13th century—the Gospel Book of the Diocese of Prague.
