Seems like an appropriate set up for the day.
Today marks the 40th anniversary of John being killed just outside his home. I wasn't even born yet but that didn't stop my 12 year old self being devastated when I found out what happened.
I've carried these books with me a long time, starting when my sister bought me 'The Ultimate Beatles Encyclopedia'. My dear friend then gave me 'The Immortal John Lennon'. My brother bought me the amazing matryoshka while in Russia.

Our trip wouldn't be complete if we didn't do a little shopping. Strand books had a pretty intense collection, but I would have to say DogStar Books in Lancaster, PA has been my favorite stop so far. I didn't get a picture there, but that's because we were so captivated by that amazing little shop, that we plumb forgot.

Sometimes I forget to just stop and enjoy this book wall. Since we live with it day after day, it weirdly blends in and you kind of forget about it. I realize this post is just patting myself on the back for having a cool book wall. But man, that's a cool book wall.
