Με εντατικούς ρυθμούς συνεχίζονται οι προετοιμασίες για τη μεγάλη τελετή υποδοχής της Αφροδίτης της Λεύκολλας!

Ο Δήμαρχος Παραλιμνίου - Δερύνειας πραγματοποίησε ακόμη μία συντονιστική συνάντηση με εκπροσώπους των οργανωμένων συνόλων και των εμπλεκόμενων φορέων, με στόχο την άρτια προετοιμασία της μεγαλειώδους τελετής που θα πραγματοποιηθεί την Κυριακή 13 Σεπτεμβρίου στη χερσόνησο Ξιστάρια, δίπλα από την παραλία της Συκιάς (Fig Tree Bay).

Πρόκειται για μια ιστορική στιγμή για τον τόπο μας, καθώς το επιστημονικό αντίγραφο της περίφημης Αφροδίτης της Λεύκολλας, η αρχαία κεφαλή που εντοπίστηκε στον Πρωταρά τον 19ο αιώνα και η τύχη της αγνοούνταν για πολλές δεκαετίες, επιστρέφει συμβολικά στον τόπο όπου ανακαλύφθηκε.

Ύστερα από συντονισμένες ενέργειες του Δήμου Παραλιμνίου - Δερύνειας, σε συνεργασία με το Μουσείο του Βερολίνου, όπου φυλάσσεται το πρωτότυπο εύρημα, και με την πολύτιμη συμβολή του Πανεπιστημίου Humboldt, κατέστη δυνατή η δημιουργία ενός υψηλής πιστότητας επιστημονικού αντιγράφου, το οποίο θα παραδοθεί στον Δήμο.

Η τελετή θα αποτελέσει ένα μοναδικό οπτικοακουστικό γεγονός. Η Αφροδίτη θα καταπλεύσει στη χερσόνησο Ξιστάρια με το ιστορικό πλοίο «Κερύνεια Ελευθερία», ενώ οργανωμένα σύνολα του Δήμου θα συμμετάσχουν σε μια εντυπωσιακή καλλιτεχνική παραγωγή που θα αναδείξει την ιστορία, τον πολιτισμό και την ταυτότητα του τόπου μας.

Μείνετε συντονισμένοι! Στις 13 Σεπτεμβρίου γράφουμε όλοι μαζί μια νέα σελίδα στην πολιτιστική ιστορία του Δήμου Παραλιμνίου - Δερύνειας.

Η επιστροφή της Αφροδίτης της Λεύκολλας είναι μια γιορτή που αφορά όλους μας. Η αντίστροφη μέτρηση για μια ιστορική βραδιά έχει αρχίσει.
