Could the legendary F-14 Tomcat fly again?

The U.S. Senate has approved the “Maverick Act,” a proposal to preserve the last three retired F-14 Tomcats and potentially make one of them airworthy again for heritage and educational purposes. It is not a return to military service and the bill still needs to complete the legislative process - but for Tomcat fans, this is big news.
